Christmas Day 2014

santa came! santa came!

the elf also gave us a sweet goodbye letter and permission to give a quick hug and kiss goodbye :)

Someone was a little tired :)

Stocking fun!

Linnea took a little while to find the big gifts from Santa even though were hanging right there on the tree :) She and Harper finally have their Elsa nightgowns!

 PRESENT TIME!

Daddy now has a Mickey Mouse shirt and an Olaf shirt so he is set for the big trip.

Breakfast before we head out to Chris' parents for Christmas with his side. I always think I will make some of kind of new breakfast bake in the crockpot or an overnight breakfast casserole but you know we really love refrigerator cinnamon/caramel rolls with bacon and oranges. We added some leftover lefse this year too :) YUM!

We headed to Bay City around noon or 1 I think and had a great time out there.

We ate first and then played and opened gifts. My parents joined us this year too. It was so sweet of Sarah and Dave to extend the invite so my parents wouldnt be alone.

taking another lil rest.
 YUMMY!

 The silly girls!

The both got Olafs! So fun to see them open them at the same time,

Fun with Papa Dave. Harper really got the hang of opening gifts by the end of the day. We also did a new fun auction adult gift exchange this year. Before leaving we watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. What a fun day!

Frozen 6th Birthday Party!

Okay so I know I say this a lot but I really will follow through on this one...Chris has more pictures from Linnea's Frozen 6th Birthday Party so I will put them up but here is the beginning and end of the fun party!

Linnea did a great job decorating the blue raspberry cupcakes and helping set up the Olaf making craft table. "Do you want to build a snowman?"

Birthday Banner and Cupcake Stands and Frost Bites (white chocolate dipped marshmallows dipped in blue sprinkles).

We gave Linnea a new Frozen comforter which her and her friend Sabina watched Frozen in after the party. Harper naturally is in an Elsa shirt with her boots on lounging in the Tinkerbell kid size rocking chair. We had a blast during Linnea's party...made Olaf, played "Frozen Heart" (its like hot potato but with a heart), made some snowflake ornaments, ate, opened gifts and played pin the nose on Olaf. We are lucky to have such great friends and family!

On the night of her actual birthday we picked up orange chicken on our way home from a fun cookie exchange :)

Christmas Eve 2014

Christmas Eve/35th Birthday Breakfast! We went to Caribou together as a family after my run or maybe I skied...I can't remember. Either way it was a nice treat for my birthday. We had more time before church this year since there was no visit to GG beforehand this year.
She was missed this year but I'm sure she and grandpa enjoyed watching us together from up above :)

And it was Erik and Lisa's year to be with Lisa's side for Christmas so my parents were stuck with just us Meyers!

We met them at church and our festive evening went on from there.

Silent Night, Holy Night
I love the candles during the the Christmas Eve service.
Especially watching kids in awe with them.

We drove past some Christmas lights before dinner at my parents house.

Harper helped put baby Jesus in the manger while Linnea snuggled with some Christmas bears :)

What happiness these two little girls can bring us.

 Love our family.

Time to eat!
We decided to bring back the Christmas chicken tradition and it was delicious!

So pretty.

So many presents waiting to be opened under that sparkling tree...we just opened a few though so we could have more to open with Erik and his family.

Papa loved his new A Christmas Story glasses and Linnea sure loved her new Hello Kitty water bottle...will be perfect for Disney World!

watching grandma open her ornaments from them or maybe it was Call the Midwife from Chris and I...

3 more people ready for Disney world! Mickey Mouse shirts and a princess backpack.

Two girls and their very loved grandma and papa :)

Cookie time!

Jammie time!

I loved that my parents are carrying on the tradition set my grandparents of giving sleepers/jammies on Christmas Eve so the kids can get ready for bed before going home.

Then when they get home all they need to do is set out milk, cookies and a carrot and go to bed!

All ready for Santa!
