Linnea had another first day of preschool!!! This time it is at Central Lutheran School and it is one we can realistically afford and it is about 5 minutes from our house! We kind of wish we would have known about this one last December when she turned 3. She could have been going there and we could have been saving thousands...but we really liked A Child's View and Linnea learned a lot there and was happy so that is super important too.
Until my maternity leave ends she will go Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 3. We plan to send her Mon-Thursday when I go back from 8-3 or later, we will decide when we get to that point. We have to figure out what to do with Harper and Linnea on Friday still when we are both at work. Maybe a nanny? Maybe mommy goes back only 4 days??
Since I first wrote this post before putting pictures in Linnea has made it through 2 weeks at CLS and says she likes it and has a good time. When we went to visit she kept saying "this is so so cool!" It is much bigger than ACV since it is in actual school that goes up until 8th grade. We don't plan to send her there nearly that long, but for now it's great! She gets to bring a backpack, her own blanket and stuffed animal to sleep/rest with (which is the same as ACV, except the backpack, she didn't use one there). There are about 12 kids in her class and two teachers. The teachers said she had good days and that she is an old pro...they can tell she has been in "school" before.
I will take that as a very good thing! I am excited to see Linnea get even more comfortable at her new place. I am also excited about the crafts they will be doing and that there is a Christmas program! It is nice to see the teachers so welcoming and see Linnea "fitting" right in.
