Valentine's Day!

We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day over here at the Meyers! We made lots of animal Valentine's for family and friends, Frozen (Olaf) Valentines for Linnea's classmates and friends in our playgroup and cousins. We also a did a few crafts at Susana's with her and Andres.

Olaf from our fav movie Frozen. It says "Hi, Im Olaf and I like warm hugs." It is his famous line from the movie so we put hugs in the bag for her friends and cousins.

We also made some festive cookies and sweet pretzel treats.

We also read plenty of Valentine's Day books before bed all week.

Valentine's Day I sent Linnea to preschool so she would not miss her big party :) She was lucky enough to wear three Valentiney outfits Vday week. We may have a lot of pink/red heart clothes here.

Harper and I did some mall walking, a few returns and other errands before heading home to make some chocolate strawberry muffins and wrap up some Valentine's Day gifts.

We had our usual heart shaped pancakes on my grandma Henjum's fancy China with smoothies and bacon. Chris's mom, sister and niece came over after shopping and ate with us. What a fun night!

They also delivered some Valentines presents and gifts from the Bremer family Christmas we couldn't attend back in January after my grandma's stroke and it was SUPER cold for such a long drive.

Anyways...Chris and I have a date next weekend that we are using as our Valentine's Day date. We will go out to dinner with some friends and then go off on our own to a comedian :)

The morning after Valentine's Day I took the girls to our New Parent Connection Valentine's Party and we had a very good time playing and having snacks :)

90th Bday Celebration

We celebrated what would have been my grandma's/GG's 90th birthday last Sunday on the 9th. We decided on Old Country Buffet :) We went there the week of her stroke once after visiting her and had so much fun we decided to go back. Besides she did enjoy buffets back in the day...a LOT. And its almost easier with the kids. Here are some pics of the fun:

Friends, Plays and Bdays!

One of my very best friends from Junior High School was here from CO the end of Jan/beginning of Feb and we squeezed in two little visits together and tried to catch up...however when we went out for breakfast my two lil sidekicks joined us...

Sooo...in between cutting up Harper's food, feeding her, making sure she wasn't climbing out of the high chair, picking up her sippy cup and books and providing Linnea with activities and of course listening to her yap away Al and I didn't get too much chatting in but we had a great time!

I highly recommend Day by Day Cafe on West 7th in St. Paul for going out to eat with or without kids. But our server was very good with the girls :)

After breakfast we came home and gave the girls quick baths and then Linnea and I had another date! We went to the play/ballet The Mitten at Stages Theater and it was WONDERFUL!!!

Linnea was mesmerized by the beauty of the dancing and music the whole time :)

It is one of our favorite winter stories too.

That same weekend of the sing a long, breakfast with Al and The Mitten we had our neighbors 6th birthday party at the Monkey House. This is my new favorite bounce house place!

Harper slept through the first 30 minutes or so of the party but then she woke up and was ready to play! She was a little scared in the bounce houses (just like Linnea used to be) but she loved the noodle pit!
