Linnea and I braved the cold one Sunday afternoon of the Winter Carnival (yes there is a carnival in the winter in MN) and checked out the snow sculptures together. There was not an ice sculpture contest this year since it was too cold.
Along with looking at the sculptures we also rode the Vulcan Fire Truck...was fun but would have been better minus the cold wind!
Had to warm up with some cocoa :)
As you can see below there was also a slide this year at the snow sculptures! It was very fast but so windy so we got a bit of snow in our face!
The sculptures are so amazing but the day kept getting colder and colder so we didn't stay that long. I do have some co workers who built this one below:
We also went to family day in the Landmark Center the Saturday before our snow sculpture Sunday. Linnea got to do some crafts and jump a LOT in the bouncy houses. Harper somehow slept through all of it. Chris has those pictures on his phone. They may make it to the blog or they may not if I forget :( We ended that evening at my parents church for family game and pizza night. Very fun day!
Linnea and grandma playing UNO.
My dad and I partook in the King Boreas Ski race, also part of the winter carnival. It was a 15k...two times around Phalen Golf Course. Perfect weather and conditions for it! Neither of us are as fast as we used to be but we had a great time anyways. It is a small and friendly race :)
