We attempted to see the Holiday Train go through our neighborhood, something I've wanted to see for a few years now. I gave the girls early baths and they put their jammies on and we headed to the car. I brought hot cocoa, marshmallows, cookies and Christmas books to entertain us while we waited...and waited...and waited. That darn train never came this year!
BUT never fear we saw it with thousands of others at the Union Depot in downtown St. Paul the following Friday. Unfortunately Chris never found a parking space so it was just the gals and I. We did meet up with the neighborhood friends Gail and Joe and their families so that was fun!
There was a very fun band called Home Free who won the show "The Sing-Off". They are from here and they performed in one of the train cars turned stage. My old supervisor at Caribou is actually married to one of the singers in Home Free so that was fun to see them in person.
Santa came out as well :)
At one point last week Linnea decided this Barbie needed a little trim. She actually just needed her hair brushed but the detangler and brush weren't working so out came the scissors. She didn't do a major cut, just a trim.
Maybe she will be a hair stylist some day.
