Eagle Center!

We spent a few Sundays ago exploring Wabasha, MN with Chris' family. We started at the Eagle Center and thought it was soooo cool!

First there was a presentation all about these amazing birds and both girls sat so nice through it. Linnea even asked a couple questions and went up front for a demonstration. Brave girl!

Harper really fell in love with this feather that was passed around :)

It was rat Sunday so when Angel came out so we could see an Eagle in real life that is what she was rewarded with and we all got to watch. Gross.

We then went and looked at the Center and saw all the Eagles that were saved and now live there. Some of the Eagles they care for do get released back into the wild but some stay in the center. Right now there are 5.

Pretty sure this is Harriet, their oldest one.

Learning and standing in an Eagles "nest." They are huge!

We went out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant in town and then got some dessert at a cute chocolate shop!

From there we went to Lark Toys and looked at the museum, played with some of the toys and rode the carousel :)

Worn out.

They woke up when we got home so we had a light supper and read a great book. We LOVE this auther right now and had only known of The Gruffalo series and Room on a Broom. This is another wonderful story!

We woke up Monday morning to some March snow. I wasnt that surprised. It always happens and I always think its beautiful!

We declared this day ice cream sundae Monday before bed :)

Movies, Parks and Drafts

We had a Friday off a few weeks ago and it started off with dinner and a movie with grandma and papa! They watched the gals while Chris and I went to Linnea's conferences. We learned she is doing just fine...excited to be at school and learning, friendly, helpful, always participating and taking her time with everything she does.

We watched Dolphin Tale 2 with plenty of popcorn. It wasn't as great as the first one we watched together in Florida but we still really enjoyed it :) Another hopeful movie which is what is always needed these days.

We had a nice Friday morning cuddling and not needing to rush off to work and daycare. We did however make our way to a fun MacPhail Music event at the library.

I got to bring Linnea to so many of these types of events but not so much Harper. I was so happy to see one happening on my day off. Harper loved dancing and using the rhythm sticks. She even did pretty well staying on her carpet square :)

We had time to play at the park afterwards too. Its fun to see the girls playing together more and helping each other.

sweet girl wanted a picture :)

I came across this duck and this lil muskrat thing that are sometimes found in Como Lake. I haven't been getting out running as much as Id like but Im enjoying all the times I make it out :)

It looked warm the Saturday following our Friday off so after our grocery shopping trip we packed a picnic and went to play and enjoy it. Well it looked much warmer than it actually was so our outing was cut short and we headed home for naps and I needed to prepare for my fantasy baseball draft :)

Draft Time! We had two more friends join us for a live draft this year and they each brought their daughters, so along with ballpark food we had princesses!

Harper tried on London's shoes and really LOVED them! They were lil pink cow boy type boots with small heels. She walks pretty good in those type of shoes. She may be more a shoe girl than her mommy and big sis :)
Princess Parade!

St. Patrick's Day 2015!

We were busy preparing for St. Patrick's Day on St. Pat's Eve :)

Green nails, green sprinkled pretzels, a shamrock sandwich and Irish Soda Bread :)

We had our neighbors over to get their green on...I made this Irish Beef Stew and had some help from leprechauns prepping the house:

this is the craft I prepped to have all the kids made however we didnt get to it because Linnea had a craft too.

The girls discovered a green toilet from that sneaky leprechaun! Linnea was a little worried to get out of bed because of that sneaky lil man. Her jammies werent green and she thought she would get pinched! I was a little worried we were going to be late for school! But we made it!

And they had time to take some sips of their green milk and eat some lucky charms :)

Lil leprechauns having a blast!

Here is Linnea's craft...a rainbow on graham crackers! She thought of it all her own. She knew she wanted to do a food craft so that is what we did. Like I said, we didn't get to my paper craft but I sent some supplies home with some kiddoes.

Gail provided some shamrock shakes so I found some jars to serve them so people could see their festive green drink! We had some adult ones too with mint liquour :) yum yum!

We ended the party with what the kids love to do most right now and that is dance dance dance to music videos on Youtube :)

We also had some colorful ice cubes to make rainbow water, a rainbow shaped fruit tray, green frosted cookies, pesto fondue and spinach artichoke dip. I think that's it!
Oh Irish Beer. There was Irish Beer too.
