The girls and I had a wonderful girls day at the Macy's Flower Show for our final day of spring break before the Easter festivities :)
Last year the theme was The Secret Garden and it worked out that my mom joined us for our girls day. She couldn't come this year so the gals were stuck with just mom. But I think we had a blast anyways :)
It was beautiful and so nice to see so many flowers and color
after some the brown weather we've had this spring.
Linnea enjoyed smelling the flowers and she actually was very
cooperative in smiling and posing for pictures!
Above are some of the paintings that were behind the gardens and
some glass sculptures within the garden.
There were apparently 5 gnomes hiding and we found two with the help of some other guests telling us where they were.
Here's a gnome! |
Mama and her girls.
What a fun adventure!
We grabbed lunch on the way out at Which Wich, a sandwich shop Ive been really wanting to try! It was yummy but no Quizno's. The Q remains my fav sandwich shop. This one is unique because you fill out what you want on a paper bag in which (haha) they put your wich in once they are done making it. Linnea loved sitting on the tall chair and having sprite. Both girls enjoyed their wiches. Linnea however calls this place...whichy wich and really wants daddy to check it out sometime.
We made some Easter birds nests before calling it a night :) We could barely put the jelly beans in before Harper ate them all. She's got quite a sweet tooth that one!
Nests=chow mein noodles in melted chocolate chips and butterscotch chips! YUM! |
We called it a night on the living room for a family
slumber party to almost end our Spring Break in St. Paul!
