Backyard fun, 4th of July Party and an Outdoor Movie
Saturday morning Linnea and I went for a run around Como Lake, played at the Choo Choo park and then hopped in Linnea's little crab pool that daddy set up when we got home before lunch. After Linnea's nap we headed to my parents house for an early 4th of July party with our family and some of dads friends from work. We were very festive in our homemade fireworks shirts! We had fun eating, playing in the pool and of course the neighborhood playground. We left around 6 to go to an outdoor movie at the Roseville Oval. I have been looking forward to an outdoor movie for months! It wasn't too hot, wasn't raining and it wasn't too late or an inappropriate movie for Linnea. In fact, it was Despicable Me, which she has seen and enjoys. She enjoyed all the snacks and whenever people laughed she either joined in with them or did it after. The only hard thing was, well, the ground. The Oval is a cement skate park so sitting on a blanket on that wasn't the best. We did have our chairs thank goodness but Linnea still moved around a lot. In and out of her chair, on and off of our laps and the blanket. But that's okay! She wasn't in anyone's way. There are plenty of dancing parts in the movie so she participated in that too. We hope to go to a few more free outdoor movies this summer. I will try to remember to get the pics up from the movie when Chris uploads them from his phone!
