Monday morning brought another goodbye. We had to leave but Mego and her family were staying the week. We decided to stop at Warren Dunes State Park...not the best decision Ive ever made. We had heard such great things about it but it was not ideal for a 4 year old. The Sand Dunes were pretty cool but just too big for her climb real high. She still liked it but I was expecting something much better. It was between this State Park and two others...you never know which will be the best I guess. This was right on our way home at least. We didnt stay very long and we headed on the road again.
Our original plan was to go through Milwaukee on the way home and go to that Zoo, but I didnt realize Milwaukee was only 3.5 hours away from South Haven. Had we gone that way we would have had a long trip on Tuesday (or longer than we wanted anyways). So as we were exiting the Chicago area we saw a sign for this Brookfield Zoo and thought why not try it out? It was great! Super hot but we had a good time anyways.

We ate a late lunch at the zoo so we were able to to drive until about 7 I think. We made it to Beloit where we picked up some Subway and checked into a nice Fairfield Marriot. Worlds better than that Motel 6 we stopped in on the way! We hung out in the room a bit before calling it a night. We planned to enjoy the workout room (well I did), the free breakfast and pool before heading home Tuesday.
