We started what I hope will be a tradition in the Meyers family! We have been heading down to Chris' moms the day after Thanksgiving for quite some time now and this year was no different except we added the Holiday Stroll in Red Wing to it. This event is right up by alley and very similar to the Woodbury Lakes Holiday Open House. Jenny and her girls and Allison all came as well.
The girls waited in line to see Santa and aunt Jenny bought them these cute light up snowflake headbeands :)
Harper just hanging out!
The twins visited the Clauses first and then Harper and Linnea went.
No one cried and everyone shared what they wanted. Linnea said spin art this time so we will see what she says to the other Santa's she sees.
The bakery in town had a cookie decorating event so each gal did that after looking at the yummy treats :)
There were event penguins!
YAY for the Holiday Stroll!
Next year I hope we can stay for the parade they have and the street lighting! We headed back before the parade though because we still needed to eat and poor Chris wasnt feeling well.
We enjoyed leftovers and then proceeded to sleep over, which was our plan all along anyways.
Playing with grandma's toys before heading home. |
breakfast!
We had hoped to cut our tree down on the way but since Chris caught a bug we just went straight home to get the house ready for the tree and decorating :)
I also brought the girls to the Rice Park Tree Lighting in downtown St. Paul before I headed out to a concert with a good friend. Chris got to rest a bit more with us gone too. We, (well Linnea and I) LOVED the tree lighting and fireworks...it was a bit too loud and bright for sweet Harper though...she cried the whole time.
a cop let her play his drums :) |
