The girls and I camped out at my parents last weekend from Thursday night to Saturday to "help" with their garage sale. Again, it was very fun and we were somewhat productive considering we werent selling anything huge. Linnea had a great time with the kids who live across the street. The kids would switch from sale to sale playing and "buying" trinkets. Her favorite thing may have been playing without total adult supervision at the swing set across the street. We could see her and the other kids from our garage but she loved being over there independently. Harper continued to also love being outside and would bring us our shoes and her jacket when she wanted to go outside. We did take a couple walks/bike rides to the neighborhood sales and found a few things. Linnea needs summer clothes and I found a few, she got few new dinosaur toys, a Cinderella Castle and a raincoat :) We all got some clothes from the neighbor too and a Noah's Ark and Little People toy for a steal of a deal at $8. I love garage sales! It wouldnt be a trip to grandma and papa's without the park so we spent some time there too.
Snack time at the neighbors sale...see that Tink Chair...that is now ours too. |
Harper isnt quite big enough for any bike or riding toy at my parents but she sure liked being pushed around on this big wheel. She also thought she was pretty cool sitting at the picnic table like a big girl with the big girls :)
garage sale break with Papa...of course wearing a helmet. You never know what might happen! Poor Chris couldn't join us for much of the sale as he had a tummy bug :( |
