Awwww...the most MAGICAL Day of our trip arrived! There were a ton of pictures taken during our open to close with no breaks visit. From 9am to 9pm we enjoyed all the fun and excitement of Magic Kingdom. We had a wonderful wonderful day and I cannot wait to go back. The time flew by and we did just about everything we wanted to do. We definitely did not do everything there but the things we did were absolutely perfect for our 2 and 6 year old girls :) We saw princesses, fairies, parades and all the characters in them, went on rides and ate at Pinocchios. The only thing I would have changed would be to have worked harder to eat at Be Our Guest which was Beasts castle. Someday we will do a character/princess meal but this was not the year. It's quite expensive and the girls don't eat enough or stay in their seats long enough to make it worth it. Plus they didn't even know it was an option so they don't know what they missed ;)
Onto some of the many pictures...
Tinkerbell was our first character meet up and it was so sweet!! As you can see, the whole room she was in looked like her home. Both girls got their books signed and we chatted a little and then moved on :) It was fun to see Tink first and with only like a 10 minute wait! We had heard she could have been a long wait and Tink was one of Linnea's first Disney character loves :)
We had to get a couples picture with the castle!
Enchanted Tales with Belle was maybe my favorite thing we did. Linnea got to be Mrs. Pots in the little "play." Harper crawled right onto Belle's dress after the little show.
Fun on the teacups with grandma and papa...Harper was there too. She was quite the trooper and came on each ride whether she wanted to or not. I was moving us around pretty quickly right when we got there because I could see on my disney app on the phone the wait times for rides so if I saw a short one I scooted us to it! The longest thing we waited for was Jasmine and Aladdin. And that was about 45 minutes and we just ate our PB and J sandwiches and some snacks while waiting. Had we decided to see Anna and Elsa it would have been double that so Im glad the girls for whatever reason did not beg to see them. I think Linnea knows she hates waiting and Harper really just goes with whatever we are doing.
Its not a trip to Disney without the Dumbo ride...
or It's a Small World :) My parents and I thought of Grandpa Thomas on this ride as it was one of his favs :) And now hopefully you don't have the song in your head!
We laughed a lot during and jumped a lot during Mickey's Philomagic 3D movie. Harps was a little scared but Linnea thought it was hysterical :)
Dancing in the street time or just maybe watching the characters and other guests dance...we were getting pretty hungry :)
So we ate at Pinocchio's as I said earlier.
The parades were amazing and a great way to the characters we didn't wait in line to see.
Family Dumbo picture!
Merry go Round!
Mom and daughter matching Frozen shirts were worn :)
A fun lil show in front of Cinderella's castle.
Having some popcorn with papa...who matched shirts with Chris however it was such a chilly day we pretty much had sweatshirts on the whole time so I'm not sure people saw father in law and son in law matching :)
We made it out of Fantasy Land and spent a lil time in Adventureland going on the magic carpet ride and the tiki room and waiting for these two to sign their books. We will hit the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse and Jungle Cruise next time :)
We definitely went to Anna and Elsa's Frozen Show and saw Elsa "freeze" the castle. We had watched this on tv around Christmas time so it was certainly fun to see it in real life :)
We watched the night electrical parade after the Frozen show and some of the fireworks but we had heard there were no waiting lines for the princesses when the fireworks are going...and that was true! We got right in to see Ariel...
Went on a few rides...Winnie the Pooh and Goofy's Rollercoaster (TWICE since there was no line and Linnea was all smiles and laughs in the very front with Papa). We hoped for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride but it was still too long...
HOWEVER....
RAPUNZEL and CINDERELLA had only a 10 minute wait!
What a perfect ending to a perfect day. I did not expect to see Rapunzel and Cinderella since the whole day their wait was an hour or more. The Frozen girls were right by these two and we hoped we could go and see them after but they had shut the doors. We need to save some things for another trip.
It was such a special day. So fun to be there with my parents and Chris and I loved seeing the girls' faces glowing in happiness at all the fun sights and rides. With everything our family is going through personally it was nice to have a such a great day. We are so lucky to have two young ones who lasted without any major meltdowns for 12 hours at Magic Kingdom.
