Summer School and Tball

We all survived our first days of summer school, work and childcare/playing! The girls are kind of going to be bopping around for childcare and getting on the bus but we will handle it for 4 weeks! I love getting home around 2 and having an hour of my own before getting Linnea most days. Gail watched Harper the first day and usually those days Gail will put Linnea on the bus but I waited with for the first day and boy is that a crowded bus but Linnea handled it well and went away with a smile. It was also very late so I was very late to work :( Oh well, Im a mom first and wanted to make sure Linnea got off okay.  Linnea is liking the crowdedness of the bus less and less but she does like school once she gets there :)

Monday June 15th also happened to be one of the free days on the carousel at Como! So after I picked Harper and Linnea up we zipped over to the zoo to take a ride and see a few animals before Linnea's first night of t-ball! BUSY Day!

A fun night on the field for the Angels!

Water Day!

We did more celebrating the end of the school year with our "New Parent Group." We cannot believe all our kids are done with kindergarten and weve stuck together since they were just a few weeks old!
Courtney had us all over for swimming and lunch and we headed out to a very cool Edina splash pad to meet Chuck and Deanna right after.

We missed Cora's 2nd bday party so we brought her present out to the splash pad and had our own lil celebration there, at Arbys and getting ice cream at Coldstone Creamery :)

We saw a turtle! As it disappeared Harper kept saying, "turtle, where are you? turtle, where are you?"

Fun with "uncle" Chuck!

First Few Days of Summer!

The girls and I made the most of our 5 days of summer before summer school started. Our summer school is only 4 weeks though so we will have plenty of fun left!

We watched the Pedersen girls and enjoyed playing veterinarian, splashing around, making pizzas and watching a princess movie I cant remember the name of right now...it was a real person one and everyone liked it! Fun music and cute story :)

Chris and I had an at home date playing sequence outside while the girls slept at my parents since I had a meeting at 8am and that was the easiest way to figure out childcare.

After having lunch with the girls at my parents I brought them to a new to us library on the way home. Hayden Heights...It has a new play area, lots of books and lots of movies to choose from.

We met Emma and family at the Pirate ship park the next day for some fun!

We ended the day/week with an end of the school year ice cream party! I finally used my "ball" ice cream maker. The kids enjoyed pushing it around and sharing some of their fav things and what they are looking forward to in the summer.

Saturday we went to the Sun Ray library for their summer spark reading program kickoff. Linnea did lots of reading to me there and we picked up all our reading logs so the girls can earn their free books and get their names in drawing for fun prizes!

Last Day of Kindergarten!!!!

Linnea made it through her kindergarten year!!! It really flew by! We/she had so much fun and were VERY happy with our school pick and her teacher. She made some new friends, learned the beginning parts of reading and explored lots of new activities too!

Harper had to be in a few as well...with her backpack that she has never brought to daycare all year.

Some of the bus stop crew!

Off to kindergarten one last time. When they come off they will be first graders!!

Last day of school pool and popsicle partay!

Hunter Jersey Day and Grand Old Day

Chris and I had our June date already and its not at the end of the month! We did a day date to the Twins Game on Torii Hunter jersey day! It was one of the few I games I knew I really really really wanted to go to. And I knew we would need to get there early so we sent the girls with my dad and got there around 10am....doors opened at 11, game started at 1 so we walked around a bit, drank a bit, snacked a bit and finally got to our seats with our jerseys of course :)

I started out in an old shirt from my grandma and left wearing the new Hunter jersey :)

We were in the homerun porch which was quite a ways away but we but we enjoyed ourselves so much anyways. We had to leave the game early to get the girls so my parents could go out to my uncles 60th bday party but the Twins ended up losing anyways. Hopefully we will make it to at least one more game with the girls and a win!

Sunday afternoon I brought the girls to Grand Old Day. I hadn't been to it in about 15 years! And 15 years ago I wasnt doing the kids area ;) Back then I had run the race, watched the parade and went to some live music and had some drinks all with friends who lived on Grand.

This time around we stayed in the kids area...did some crafts, some jumping, fed some animals, listened to the Bazillions, hula hooped and had some yummy snocone type thing but it was fluffier and yummier. It had got very warm so this was very refreshing!

My cousin and his fiance just moved to grand so we did end up meeting up with them an walked up and down grand until it was closed. We tried some more food too...mini pancakes, cheesecurds and I was super excited to try mexicorn but I managed to lose my $20  and they ran out just as it was my turn. Oh well. Im sure mexicorn will be at another festival!
