We started our crazy busy Christmas weekend on Friday night by taking Linnea to her first play! We were supposed to go with some friends of ours who got the free tickets for us but they got sick so it was just the three of us going to A Silent Night for Peef.
It was a very sweet story about Peef the bear who was made by Santa but then Santa left him with a little boy on Christmas Eve. The play then went through Peefs first year with the boy. It was just over an hour which was a good length for all the kids in the theater.
Linnea seemed to love it even though she started singing Santa Clause is Coming to Town in the middle of it :) She also occasionally would ask, "where's the show?" since we explained it to her as sort of a movie but with live people. SO maybe she was looking for the screen? Im not sure. She would also ask where different parts of the scenery went when they did their scene switches.
We are looking forward to going to some more in the coming year.
Chris and I also had a day double date during the day and went to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Chuck and DeAnna. Sort of for my birthday too I think...since we missed out on A Christmas Story at the Riverview this year.
