Labor Day was spent finally turning Linnea's bedroom into a room for two! My parents came over in the morning around 10 and stayed through lunch, so it didn't take long, it was just a matter of actually making time to do it.
First things first, Linnea finally has an actual bed! Not just a mattress on the box spring on the floor. She is using my old day bed which GG has been using but since she moved into the nursing home she doesnt need it anymore. So Chris, Papa and L put that up, while mom and I brainstormed how to do the rest of the room.
We decided to put L's jammies and socks and undies in a tote under the bed for now and we moved the sheets into the bathroom. I put away some of L's outgrown clothes and doing that cleared enough space for baby number 2's clothes in the armoire. We also have some space in a small dresser by the crib and under the changing table. Here is the final product! New lamps, a reading nook and the crib!
Linnea took a great nap in her "new" bed and room and then we headed over to my parents house for a great fish fry meal and some pool and park time with the whole fam. It was a great night before heading back to work/preschool.
Baby will start out in our room in this bassinet borrowed to us from a friend which I wrote about previously. The changing table is also in our room...we hope to get some art above it just cant decide what quite yet!
Now we just need that baby!
