Halloween!!!

Halloween and Thanksgiving have come and gone and Christmas is coming full force so Im going to catch all you readers up to speed...

We carved pumpkins...

We had a tinkerbell, a kitty and Minnie Mouse.

I know there are 4 of us but the girls decided to share the kitty since mommy and daddy took so long carving their own!

Halloween was on a Saturday this year which was so fun. Our neighbor had a party which I didnt get any pictures at but was so fun. I brought Witches Brew that each kid got to put a different ingredient in...for example...red hots were drops of blood, pretzels were bat bones, bugles were witches fingernails, The kids also danced to the Monster Mash and did a craft. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon before trick or treating. Being that we had so many yummy treats at the party we had this light festive dinner:

It was finally time to get into Annie Family attire!

two lil orphan Annies.

Miss Hannigan and her fav orphans :)

AHHHH...Annie Vampire!

It's not Annie without Daddy Warbucks :)

The following week we did yardwork with my parents and the care bear.

We also had our first Star Wars movie night in preparation for the new one coming out soon!

And Cocoa found a lovely lil home.

I found this one night after the girls went to bed. Why wouldn't Star Wars guys be driving the strawberry shortcake mobile?

Trying on new winter gear from a cousin who moved to Texas and doesn't need it anymore!

And watching some tv after ice cream cones to celebrate papa/dad being alive after being hit by a car in 1987.

Fall Festivals

We really lived it up this fall finding little Halloween things to do here and there...

This was near the Landmark Center for Charles Schulz birthday and a lil celebration of the Peanuts movie.

The girls loved the music and Harper really tried to do the Charlie Brown...not sure if the above video worked.

looking forward to the movie!

The girls each used some fun stickers to decorate their pumpkins to put on display at Linnea's Fall Festival.

Such a fun time with gma and papa and friends at Linnea's School. Both came home with different colored hair!

Linnea did the pumpkin run but we barely made it in time so I didnt even get to see her run as I was parking the car. She jumped out to grandma who brought her to papa and the two of them "ran" the pumpkin run.

Some beautiful fall colors on one of my runs!

Linnea was into drawing faces and labeling. I dont remember if this is me or her.

Valley Creek Mall Fall Festival is always on my to go to list for Halloween fun! We had two fairies with us for this event :)

Afterwards we went to my cousins daughters 4th bday. We hadnt seen them for a while and it was good to catch up. On the way home I took the girls on a walk at Silverwood Park where I have wanted to go for a while. It was very pretty but my camera wasnt working :( we will have to go back!

Pumpkin Fest at the Landmark Center was our next activity to prep for Halloween. We took some touristy pics on the way to the Landmark Center.

Then met up with our friends and did some crafts, listened to some stories, participated in a kids costume parade and got a fun balloon. Perfect day!

Boo Berries for breakfast on the way to the bus stop.

boo fest at Kowalskis with more friends. We had a pumpkin fairy and a strawberry shortcake cat from the Meyers :) The Burtons had Frienship Bear and Elmo.

I love trick or treating in this store...they give out great snacks!

We then checked out a new spot which we dont need to do again. It was so crowded and wet and then cold. It was Pearsons Nut Goodie place...there was a couple jumphouses (but they were soaked), a few games but super long lines and then a lil spin the wheel where you could win a pencil or something. BUT we did get some full size Pearsons Candy which was yummy and almost made this event worth it :)

Franconia Sculpture Park

On our way home the Meyers stopped at Franconia Sculpture Park. I really wanted to do a hike in Taylors Falls but we were out of time. There was a letterbox on the way to the Sculpture Park. So my parents found that with us and then headed back to the cabin while we went to the park.

 We found the box!

Franconia was an interesting place! We didnt see all the sculptures as we were running short on time but we saw quite a few and enjoyed ourselves :)

Kind of a playground :)

She loved climbing on this and seeing herself )

Harper thought this was a ride :)

 Swings!

We headed for home after this stop. It is always nice to have a fall getaway and explore new places with the fam!
