New water toys!

We finally bought some backyard water toys!
After all the excitement Linnea has been showing for water at the beach and sprinkler parks we thought it was time to have something besides just the hose at home!

She really loves her sprinkling crab pool....

and this crazy spraying caterpillar too!
I also enjoyed it!

2 Year Old Twins!

Happy Second Birthday Peyton (above) and Ella (below)!!!
Our twin nieces turned two around Father's Day so we got to go out to their house and celebrate the day before Father's Day. It was a nice day but unfortunately not nice enough to play in the water in this year.

But it was plenty nice to play in the twins' new tent and tunnel! This was the first time Linnea has been able to get through the tunnel since she just figured out how to crawl!

The kitchen was a hit that Grandma Sarah and Grandpa Dave gave them.

And Linnea also enjoyed this box! The twins have chickens and turkeys at their house and lots of cats so we enjoyed checking those out as well. We hope the twins had as much fun at their bday as we did!

Beaches!

Hi it's Linnea here...

Mommy and daddy and grandma and grandpa brought me to another Twins Game! As you can see I loved it! I didn't even sleep this time and I didn't get too crabby either! In the 8th we had to go and walk around but other than that I was fine. I was especially fine when we got my new fav food...ice cream! The Twins lost anyways, so it wasn't too hard to leave our seats in the 8th.

Mommy also brought me to watch Grandpa Henjum and Uncle Erik play their softball game! It was sunnnny, hence mom's shades, and fun!

She actually brought me to two...one of the games Dylan was there to play with which was very fun! We are good at cheering and walking/running around, picking up rocks and playing with balls and snacking.

Mommy has also been bringing to beaches which I just love! We are at Carver Lake in Woodbury in the above picture. We went there with some other kids and their mommies which was oh so fun! Cant wait to do it again!

And in this above and below picture we are at Lake Johanna in Arden Hills. That place is great! There is a playground basically right on the beach and like two other playgrounds as well!
I think I like touching the sand but can never figure out how to get it off my hands and then I make a disgusted face which mom hasn't snapped a picture of yet but you will probably see one soon.

Mommy likes to put me in the jogger with my breakfast while she runs for 30-40 minutes because that's all I can handle anymore. She is so nice though to make sure to stop at a playground and play at some point. And lately she has taken me jogging by these beaches so we get to swim and play! It is great! She says she wants to run something called a marathon...so I see many runs this summer. Please just keep stopping at parks to let me out to play mama!

p.s. Mommy, in case you haven't noticed, I don't like sleeping in the stroller anymore, so don't think that that's a good way to get a longer run in. I will prefer to just play with daddy when you go running longer than 40 minutes. Thanks. I love you, Linnea

Father's Day

This is one proud and happy grandpa celebrating his special day!

Dylan and Linnea played in the yard with Dylan's T-Ball set

and Linnea also stopped to smell the flowers and say...mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Before we went to my parents house we had a bagel and egg sandwich brunch since daddy and Linnea slept in while I went running (I have this plan for running a marathon this fall so I better get my butt in gear) and we also found a letterbox and watched the Twins.

Happy Father's Day and thanks for all you do daddies!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy and my grandpa's!!!

Today we are heading out to Woodbury whenever I wake up from my nap. Before that we are hanging out as a family of three. Yesterday I got to see one of my great granpas and grandpa Dave on my daddy's side. We were in Red Wing for my twin cousins birthday party. Pictures from that will come later. I just wanted to do a special Happy Father's Day post before the day got started!
I hope everyone has a great holiday and give their daddies lots of hugs and kisses. They deserve it if they are anything like my daddy. He is so fun to play with, snuggle with, eat ice cream and pizza with, watch Elmo or Pingu with and just be around!
Love, Linnea

The Ride Home, Days 5 and 6

We found a great State Park on our way home just in time to cheer up Linnea!

She was at the beginning of a meltdown and then we found a playground in the woods and her face lit up!

Daddy found a perfect stump for a photo opp

And Linnea enjoyed looking through the holes in this tunnel and seeing us!

Day 6 began about 2 hours from Wisconsin Dells so we decided to stop there, however it was too cold and we didn't have enough time for a waterpark so we settled for Storybook Gardens, which I remember being a lot more fun than it was. I sort of wish we would have gone to another State Park, but oh well! Linnea liked most of it...and we will be back when she's older to really enjoy the water!

She got to play in a pretend house which was on the playground and be up close and personal with a tortoise! Both fun things...

But she also had a fall as she was practically running to see a little kangaroo or something. They are definitely not huge scrapes on her knees but they are her first so we took a picture. She sure thought they were the worst thing that could have happened to her. Our lil drama queen.

This was her face most of the way home as she watched her different Sesame Street Dvds. We also stopped in Eau Claire and played a park there and had Quiznos as a picnic. Our hotel the previous night had a pool which Linnea and I took a quick dip in before our pizza arrived.

We had a wonderful trip and we cant wait for our next adventure!

The Wedding of Julie and Adam, Day 4

This is the church where the lovebirds tied the knot at 6pm.
This is their program.

This is a picture of the beautiful and huge church!
Here is Linnea eating before the ceremony began. She was content eating and reading for about 10 or 15 minutes of it and then daddy took her outside to play.
Father/daughter walk down the aisle.
The wedding party and guests walked from the church to the old theater where the reception was. Julie and Adam met in this neigborhood which is partly why they chose this location.
First Dance.

Lovely cake!
Even Linnea was awake and still there to enjoy some!
The ladies.
Love.
Dancing Queen. Unfortunately we didn't get a family picture at the wedding :( We had a great time but it went far too fast!

Cincinnati Parks, Day 4

We visited Alms Park which is a little bit outside of the city. I found this park when I was looking for letterboxes in Cincinnati. Well unfortunately the box I picked was missing so we didn't get a letterbox done on our trip but we did this nice view of the Ohio River...

And Linnea was sooo happy there was a playground there. This picture below is her face at the bottom of slides!

And here she is so proud at the top!

Walking with daddy is the best!

And she also loves to swing!

It was such a hot and humid day so we were happy to find Sharon Woods...

A park with a nice view as well and many walking/running paths...

but the best thing they had (along with this little puppy)

was water shooting out of the ground!

Linnea loved it. We were terrified she would go smack down on her face while practically running from spout to spout so I held her hand most of the time.

And here is our lil squealer in action...
