Trick or Treat

The girls slept in a bit on Halloween and we had banana ghosts and boo berry cereal for breakfast with some Halloween specials :)

Harper actually got a hold of daddy's leftover Arby's for her breakfast with her banana ghost ;)

Spider, pumpkin and apple smile lunch. Linnea is wearing her new Belle costume that was on sale at the thrift store we went to looking for other costume supplies.

Since we didn't have to work or go to school it gave me some more time to finish up our costumes. We did go to some thrift stores and Micheals to get some final items. Like the blue cape under the tulle and the tulle and snowflakes for that matter.

She liked it but wanted more snowflakes...
so more snowflakes she got...I had fun with the hot glue :)

We got some fabric paint so I could do Anna's design and we needed felt and eyes for Olaf :)
traditional mummy dogs for Halloween supper pre trick or treating.
The Elsa braid in a $1 headband wig thing with a little white hairspray.

Anna, Olaf and Elsa all ready to go! We have a family picture somewhere with Kristoff as well but I dont know where :(

Elsa and Olaf...the silliest and somewhat pokiest trick or treaters I know.
In from the cold and watching Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin!

Day after Halloween yard cleanup and photo shoot :)

Halloween FUN!

I have fell waaaay behind in the blog again. I really wanted to be up to date by December in the hopes of really being on top of it for the holiday season but alas I probably wont be since I haven't done a single November post! Anyways...back to Halloween...the whole week of Halloween was super fun! I took "Princess Sofia" and "Cinderella" to the Landmark Center for a Pumpkin festival.

They listened to a Halloween story, did some crafts, got their face painted and then watched magic show. The best part was a little costume parade though which I didnt get a picture of since I needed both hands. Each child got to walk across the stage in their costumes and say into the microphone what they dressed up as :) Ill try to find the video my friend took.

A Bee and Ladybug went to the library with me for Halloween Storytime and had a blast! Even Harper stayed in the room for it :)

We went trick or treating at Kowalskis with another Elsa and a pumpkin.

We got 2 of our 4 pumpkins carved.

Her Elsa costume came in the mail!!!! Thanks cousin Eloise!

The girls wore their Halloween Hello Kitty shirts the day before Halloween since we actually didn't have school or work on Halloween.

I made some spiders for my co workers :)

That evening we had a Halloween party at our house with the neighbors :)

We played Halloween BINGO, Twister, decorated spiders, made Witches Brew and did the Monster Mash among other Halloween videos on youtube.

 Giggling before bedtime stories :)

There may have more giggles from mom because us adults had a pumpkin beer sampling at the party too :)

Great Pumpkin Chase, Fall Festival at Mall, Date Night

The following weekend was another "race" weekend for us. The Great Pumpkin Chase at Lake Elmo. I did the 10k and then Chris and the girls came and met me for the kids run.
Three other families we knew also met us there for running fun :)

the beginning and end of my run.
The three big ones have known each other since they were like a month old!
Part of The New Parent Group!

Rapunzel and her minion friend and Merida and Batman.
Aka Harper, Logan, Linnea and Emma.

Candy and pumpkins were given out at the end of this race! Oh and the girls got medals :)

After the run we went to Valley Creek Mall for their Fall Festival and trick or treating in the stores.

We left the gals with my parents for the afternoon and Chris and I picked up some Caribou Coffee and hit the thrift store to hunt for our Frozen Halloween Costumes. Here is what we found...(well some of it we had at home...we bought the fuzzy white sleeper for Olaf, blue shirt and skirt for Anna and black shirt of Kristoff.)

beginning of the Frozen Family

After shopping and cleaning a bit Chris and I completed our October date at the new restaurant in our neighborhood, Paddy Shack. It is in a bar that's been around for years without food but now it sells some great Irish food!

I had the fish (cod) and chips with mashed peas which were really good despite how gross they looked.
Chris got his usual...a burger and loved it as well.
We will be back! Its so close to home, great food and live music!
