Our Week.

I feel like this week flew by and before I know it school will be out and the days will go by even quicker with all our summer activities and plans! Only 11 days to go of school and then as of now I will be off for the summer. Im hoping to find a job that allows me to work Wed, Thurs and Fri from about 9-4 or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. We are planning on sending Linnea to daycare 3 days a week so she doesn't lose the connections she has made there and so that we don't have to go through the transition back to daycare in the fall. As of now I am returning to Bridgeview as a special ed aide but will be working in the elementary age group rather than middle school. I'm hoping for less behavior problems! I know there will be some, but it has to be better than this year or I won't make it.

Anyways...this week started with a big grocery shopping trip to Rainbow on Sunday with my lil helper. I finally got the motivation to find recipes and start making better meals than I have been this last month. It has been a tough last month...more on that later. Linnea seems to enjoy shopping and riding in the cart still so I'm very lucky. She sings and sings and says hi to everyone passing by and asks me what everything is. This time upon our return home she decided to be interested, very interested, in helping us put things away! It was so cute! She put all the yogurt away. Yes it may have been upside down but she found a great home on her eye level shelf for the yogurt. I think she also likes to come because she usually gets to pick out something new to try and she gets to snack a lil in the cart and we usually end up opening up the apple juice!

Linnea and I went to watch Dylan's T-Ball game and played at a new park on Tuesday. On Wednesday we headed over to our friends house for dinner and to meet their 1 month old baby girl and also see our friends who were visiting from AZ. We will be going to their wedding in October! Linnea had a blast since we were at her friend Sophia's house. They played and played and overrall stayed in good spirits even though they were both up way past their bedtime!

Thursday we played in our backyard and grilled and then it was today, Friday already! We were hoping to grill again and go to a new park but the weather stopped us from doing that so we just played inside and took a trip to REI to find Linnea some toddler Tevas. We had success and they are so cute! She is so proud of them too. It is very hit or miss with anything to do with Linnea's feet so the fact that I was by myself and got her into new pair of shoes was reason enough to buy them! (but really she did need new shoes anyways, her hand me downs are getting more and more worn and kind of smelly!) Chris and I went and splurged on some Keen sandals for ourselves last weekend since they were way on sale! The sale was still going on today so we got Linnea's on sale too. Now we will have great shoes for some hiking/camping this summer! YAY!

We also played night night tonight and here are some pics of the fun:

Sorry we dont have any more pics for this post...we just were lazy about getting the camera out :(

Oh for those wondering about Linnea's photo contest...we didn't win anything in this one but we will keep trying!

Party in the USA

Here are some more of Linnea's dance moves! The song may be kind of annoying and get stuck in your head but the toddler dancing it to certainly makes it more enjoyable!

Both videos are the same...I didn't realize it had worked the first time!
Double the fun I guess!

Weekend Fun!

Last weekend was full of fun! Friday night Linnea and her grandma and grandpa Henjum had a great time at our house while her mommy and daddy went to the Twins game! Our friends Melissa and Joe were up from Florida and hadn't seen a game at Target Field yet so it was a must. The Twins lost, it was quite chilly and we even saw flurries in the 9th but we had a blast anyways! Mel's parents were also there and they are always fun to see as were some other friends from High School we hadnt seen in months. All in all a fun night but we neglected to get any pics :( Erik, Lisa and Dylan were also there with our family friend Zac.

Saturday also came and went with no pictures as well but it was a very fun day too! Linnea and I picked my mom up and we did some garage saling together. Again, it was chilly and rainy but we found some great things anyways! Linnea got some new shoes, hats and a book but her highlight was a toy stroller with a doll in it. She is content to walk with this stroller back and forth in our house all the time! She is so cute with it. She will enter a room where we are and say Hi Mommy, say hello to my baby. So we do and then she says, Oh Okay Bye bye, Im going to Bapa's. She is quite the character. I'm so glad we found her this new toy! Quite possibly the best $2.00 we have spent! A picture and possible video will be up soon!

The one thing we did get pictures of this weekend was Linnea and I's picnic in our backyard. In the words of Linnea, it was pretty nice out and not raining so we could go outside! She ate and then had to explore our unplanted garden and find some "pretty" dandelions for me!

What a sweetie and perfect picnic date!

Tee Ball!

Tuesday night we went to "watch" cousin Dylan's T-Ball game! We did manage to see him hit once and run the bases and play a little bit of third base. It was a beautiful night to be at the game, eat some peanuts and of course play the playground right by the fields. Our daughter's obsession is going to new parks. There were two parks...one perfect for younger toddlers which kept Linnea's interest for a little while but then she was ready to move on to the bigger park. She tried all the slides out and she even hung on the little monkey bar which I had never seen her do so that was pretty cool! She tried and tried last summer at the Little Gym but couldn't get it so that was so fun to see this milestone for her!

Go Dylan!

He got a hit! And even made it home!

Even lil sister Kaylan made it to the game! In the words of Ian, "the lil peanut was still snoozin!"

We aren't sure if Dylan's team won or lost but I know they all had fun!
We got home and in bed late but it was worth it!

Happy Mother's Day

We finally made it to my parents house to celebrate Mother's Day! Since Brian and Megan were in the H still with their Mother's Day present it was Erik, Lisa and their boys, my parents and the three of us having dinner together, playing and opening a few gifts.

Dylan and Linnea had fun sitting in the rocking chair being "two peas in a pod".

Chris and Linnea gave me a mug with pics of Linnea and I on it and Season One of a show called Treme that I am so excited to watch! It takes place in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina!
I guess there is one more thing coming too...I am so lucky to be a mom of such a fun lil girl and have such a great mom, mother in law and grandmas! How nice to have a day for us.

Baby Kaylan Beth

Brian and Megan had their sweet little girl! We knew they went to the Hospital around 8pm Saturday night but figured they would go home since Megan wasn't due for a few weeks and the doctors were saying the same thing, well Kaylan was ready and I got a text in the middle of the night at Chris' mom's saying that Kaylan had made her entrance! A few weeks early but very healthy and already at home with mom, dad and her brothers as of Monday. We went to visit on our way home from Red Wing on Sunday before going to my parents house to celebrate Mother's Day. Sadly, I don't have a picture of the proud parents with their daughter but I do have some of a proud cousin and aunt!

Garage Sale!

We headed to Chris' mom's house in Bay City, WI Saturday morning to help with their garage sale and celebrate Mother's Day. We wanted to go Friday night right after work and stay the night and come home Saturday night but a certain toddler got very sick in the middle of the night on Thursday. She started puking about 1am and proceeded to do it every hour until about 6am! eek! We think it was something she ate because no one at daycare was sick and she had nothing else going on, so anyways. I went into work around noon and Chris stayed home with her. He wasnt feeling 100% either so we didnt think it would be wise to drive an hour away. We all got some good sleep at home Friday night and drove Saturday morning. It was a wonderful visit!
Linnea got to be the only kid there for the morning so she got lots of attention and then when she woke up from her nap around 4 her twin cousins were there and they had so much fun playing with all of grandma's yard toys! I went to one garage sale with Jenny and found an outdoor toy stroller for squirt. It was beautiful day to spend outside. We spent the night and left Sunday around noon to visit Chris' grandparents in Red Wing.
It was a great couple of days, but went way too fast!

Mothers Day At GG's

Last Thursday we went to GG's for a mothers day celebration! There was some fun music being played by some saxophonists and yummy desserts. We even did a conga line and gg won a flower basket!

Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday was a very fun day for us! The beautiful weather helped for sure! We headed over to great grandma's to have our usual brunch food with mom's side. Linnea ended up being the only kid there so she was very busy eating, finding eggs,

and posing for pictures! She also asked where her cousins were, especially Ian. She asked Brian and Megan if Ian was coming. It was very cute.

After breakfast we went to church right at GG's assisted living place. Linnea sat on my lap for maybe 30 seconds but then was off to run the halls with daddy, play outside at the Estates but eventually ended up at the park by my parents house. After church we got some pics with GG and then mom, dad and myself headed over to my parents to meet Chris and Linnea and play with them for a while. We also took many family pictures since we dont get this girl in cute dresses very often!

Daddy said Linnea looked for eggs over and over again that the bunny hid in my parents yard.

Linnea took nap over there and ended up staying the night since Chris and I went to the Pixie's concert that night. It was a great concert!
We hope everyone had a very happy Easter!
