Frozen Friday!

The Roseville Oval played Frozen last night so naturally I had a Frozen party before hand and we headed to watch the favorite movie of all time outside. There were threats of rain but it never came! We had a blast before and during the movie :)

I made some snowflake cookies to decorate with blue white frosting and blue sprinkles and snowflake sprinkles and reused the table cloth and centerpieces from Peyton and Ella's bday. I also put out the leftover Elsa coloring sheets from the bday party.

First the girls did some ice painting. They made some masterpieces!
Then we made some Frozen playdough....just baking soda and lotion and glitter. Looks like sparkly snow but it is moldable. The girls made Olaf with it and used snowflake cookie cutters too.
Then we got really wild and added vinegar to it and watched it ooze!

We had dinner of Frozen pizza, Olaf's noses (carrots), Svens Anters (pretzel sticks), Kristoff's Ice (Blue Jello), Frozen Hearts (strawberries) and I made some frozen daquiries for the mommies and non alcoholic ones for the girls.

 I hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

Linnea's cookie :)

Happy 6th Birthday Peyton and Ella!

We headed to Red Wing last Saturday to celebrate our nieces/cousins 6th birthday. It was a hot day but the party was at a park with some shady areas and a picnic shelter. They did a Frozen theme which I helped with some of the activities and decorations. It was lots of fun!

Frozen Cupcakes!

Time to eat...Peytons the bday girl in the middle with some friends from school :)

A big balloon bouquet and bowls with Christmas ornaments and snowflake wands in them and some nice flowers :)

Most of the girl party attendees got their nails painted in silver and blue to be like Elsa. While waiting for their turn they colored in Elsa :) We also made small winter wands and played pin the nose on Olaf :) GREAT party!

Summer Nights in June

Grandma and Papa came to T-Ball last Monday and even brought their bikes so we could all bike over after eating a quick dinner together.

Getting some pointers from Papa.

We definitely stopped for ice cream on the way home!

Tuesday Night the Lego Movie was playing at one of the libraries so went to that since we hadnt seen it yet. Daddy and Linnea watched whole thing but Harper and I were in and out. Out for way more than half of it. This library had an awesome play area, of course books and a nice patio too so we had fun wandering around.

Wednesday night we headed to Groovin in the Garden at Como again but we first stopped at Como Town and did one ride and got some beautiful butterflies painted on some cute girls' faces.

Harper's first ride! A little train at Como Town.

Beautiful Butterflies!

Dancing the night away :) It was New Orleans music and it was awesome!

Thursday night we had a lil campfire and roasted a few marshmallows :)

Swimming!

We have been heading to our neighbor's (Bina who Linnea rides the bus and goes to summer school with) pool to swim quite a bit after school. Sometimes the other neighborhood gals are there too so Linnea really has fun! We are so lucky to have so many friends nearby.

We also went to a wading pool twice :)

Losing Teeth!

We have had a few firsts in the last two weeks...Linnea's first time on the bus alone and loosing teeth! Yes TEETH! She has lost her bottom two middle teeth within days of one another. Those were her first ones that came in so I'm not surprised they were the first to fall out. She lost both of them at school and came bolting off the bus with her envelope in hand excited to show me her little spikey tooth :)

Tooth one above and tooth 2 below:

She put them in her lil pink treasure chest and under her pillow for the tooth fairy to come. She got a $1 for the first and 50 cents for the second. She put her money towards a round chapstick thing she has been dying to get EVERY time we check out at Target. She was so happy I finally said yes to her getting it since I ALWAYS say no to EVERYTHING in Target ;) Such a mean mommy...she is usually pretty good at stores but every now and then she gets a bit whiny and needy if you cant tell. But back to the teeth. What an exciting time. Im so glad it didn't hurt her and I wonder which one will fall out next. She has a cute lil lisp now too.

Having Fun!

When there is time I'm going to try to do theme weeks with the girls this summer...we did some train activities her first week of school...a train lunch and a train craft which I need to take a picture of I guess because it turned out very cute:

We also can go to the library in the afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays if there is an event that looks fun to us and if Harper is awake. She was VERY awake for Wendy's Wiggle Jiggle and Jam. She did not stop moving the whole time. Linnea enjoyed "performing" with the other kids during the songs.

Grooving in the Garden also started their first week of school so we biked over to Como for that and met Bina and her grandma. They even got ice cream treats. Harper was taking a VERY late nap so Chris stayed home with her for this one.

Here is Harper enjoying her wing time after our or during our morning runs.

We did not swing after the run below. We got totally drenched. I almost made it before the downpour but got stuck by not one but two trains on the tracks just blocks from our house. Despite her concerned look here she really didnt seem to mind it!

Enjoying waffles and making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

 "Helping" to clean.
