30 Weeks Pregnant

Here we are at 30 weeks!! She is moving more and more each day and I am getting bigger and bigger! We go to the doctor on Wednesday so hopefully everything is still going as it should. We are getting excited to cheer for grandpa Henjum and Chuck in the Twin Cities Marathon this Sunday. Baby and I have an idea for a fun shirt to wear! We are also rooting on the Twins!!! Yesterday hopefully was not the last game we will be working this season. GO TWINS!!!

30 Weeks Pregnant and a 10 Year High School Reunion!

This past Saturday night baby, Chris and I attended my 10 year high school reunion and had an absolute blast! I think the Woodbury Class of 1998 was a pretty special class. There were so many people there I hadn't talked to in years but the way we were chatting and laughing it was like we talked yesterday. Our principal even showed up and did the ROYALS pepfest cheer! He is the best!

The festivities began on Friday night with a tour of the high school and holy cow has it changed!! There is an indoor track, additional classrooms and hallways and apparently a whole new gymnastics training room in the basement but we didn't get to see that. After the tour some classmates went to the homecoming football game. I didn't really pay attention to the game in HS and I still didn't this past Friday. My friends and I were too busy catching up, however I do know that Woodbury won! WAHOO! That is something that didn't happen to often in my 4 years as a Royal. It was a great night for homecoming too! When the game ended, some friends such as myself and three others stayed and talked while others headed to Throwbacks for drinks and dancing. When the fun conversations ended I went to my friend Alison's house down the road from the HS with our friend Jamie for more reminiscing. When the clock ticked midnight I knew it was time for baby and I to get home. Chris stayed home to watch the debates Friday.

He did come on Saturday with one of my girlfriend's/classmates fiances for a couple hours. That way the two of them didn't have to get there two hours early to set up and didn't have to stay until the wee hours of the morning but we could still show them off while they were there! My parents even got to join in on reunion fun since they were nice enough to check people in. Go parents! The night was full of good appetizers, good conversations and very fun memories...sparked by a great slideshow! Thanks for all your hard work on that Melissa and thanks to classmates who sent photos in. I even got a baby gift for being the gal there closest to her due date! One of my friends is due 6 days after me so it was a close call! The top picture that is sideways is my friend who is due 6 days after me...it wasn't sideways when I uploaded it and now I don't know how to fix it...sorry Jess!

We ended the night by dancing the soles of our shoes off at a club down the road from where our reunion was held and baby and I didn't get home until close to 3am!!! I am sure she appreciated that. We were just having so much fun!

Week 29 and a cousins wedding!

Week 29 is here!!! It was a pretty good week. Monday was a normal work at the school day and then out to Chucks for his bday, Tuesday I worked at Caribou and school, Wednesday was a normal school work day and Thursday I got my bridesmaid dress pinned up to be tailored. Yep, I get to be in another wedding as a preggo! This time it will be more obvious though since I will be 30 weeks along, not 16! I also squeezed a nap into almost every one of those days...naps are my friend lately!

We were very productive this past Friday as well and got all of our registering done!! We went to Target, then got dinner and then made our way to Babies R Us. It was quite an overwhelming but fun event at the same time. There are so many cute and fun things out there for our sweet lil girl! We are leaning towards butterfly and flower things for her. Even though we were registering for 5-6 hours I am sure we still forgot some things and added some items that maybe we don't really need. So if you are out and about shopping for us feel free to pick things up that aren't on our list if you think we need them! You parents know more than we do about what we need and what we don't need.

Last night we went to one of Chris' cousins weddings in Red Wing and had a great time! It was nice to see his family and catch up since we hadnt seen them probably since his birthday :( Today (Sunday) was spent sleeping in, baking, cleaning and of course watching the Vikes and Twins! Both teams won!!! HOORAY!!! GO MINNESOTA!!

This week will be busy...I sell Twins tickets Tues, Wed, and Thurs! Friday is the beginning of my 10 year high school reunion weekend. We are going on a tour of the school and hanging out. Chris wont be at Friday's festivities because he will be watching the first of the debates, but he will come to the main event on Saturday night. We are going to Jimmy's for apps, drinks (lemondade for me), a slideshow and catching up with old friends! Should be great!

Now it is dinner time, and we will probably watch the last few episodes of Heroes from last season so we are ready for the season premiere tomorrow! So many of our fav shows start this week!! YAY! I will watch most of them online or recorded on DVD since I will be working.

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for reading!

Our Two Year Anniversary and a Rocking Chair!

For our anniversary this year (which was a few weeks ago but I have been lazy with this blogging thing so I am just entering now!) we spent time together in the cities. We went frisbee golfing, indulged in some Grand Ole Creamery ice cream cones and ate at Dixies, which is one of Amy's favorite restaurants on Grand Avenue. It serves yummy southern cuisine!
Chris also surprised baby and I with a rocking chair!! It fits perfectly in the nursery and is soooo comfortable! Lancey(our cat) has been very good and just looked at it, no scratching yet which is nice of her as we would like the chair to be good condition for our little arrival in December! The preggo picture above is me at week 27.
Hope everyone is doing well and I will try to not to wait 3 weeks before posting again!

September Days

This picture was taken August 31st about 25 and a half weeks along and right after a fun trip to the State Fair! Chris and I went with a few of our friends and enjoyed people watching, eating the usual treats on a stick and a few new things as well! Chris, just like Brian, cannot go to the State Fair without having a turkey sandwich and I cannot go without enjoying the Australian Potatoes! We also shared a raspberry malt and cheese curds. The group sampled the chocolate covered bacon which was interesting..probably wouldn't get it again and I had some fried fruit on a stick which was delicious! I will be getting that again...it was like fruit wrapped in a funnel cake and I proceeded to sprinkle some powdered sugar on drizzle chocolate sauce on it! YUM!!!
It seems like a long time we went to the Fair because so much has been going on since then! My job as an Associate Educator in three different kindergarten rooms (basically a teachers aide) has begun and I LOVE it! The teachers I work with are great and so far we have three classes full of students excited to learn and be at school!! We were worried about tears and teasing but so far we have a very good group!
I took my gestational diabetes test and passed!! YAY!! I got a lot of reading done in that hour I waited for the results after drinking the orange crush tasting beverage. The doctor said everything is continuing to progress as it should and that I will be growing at least a centimeter a week until the end! WOW! But I am okay with that since it has taken quite a while for this bump to pop out anyways!
Along with school, September has brought two of my friends Bachelorette's Parties and a bridal shower for one as well. For one party we headed to uptown to some of our favorite restaurants/bars where baby and I enjoyed our lemonades and waters! Last night was my other friends party and she happens to be pregnant as well! Six of us (including her nephew) went on a lovely dinner cruise down the Mississippi River starting out of Stillwater. We had a blast!! It was a little rainy so we spent most of our time inside but did venture to the roof when there was a rain lull.
Our next two weekends of September are also busy...next weekend one of Chris' cousins is getting married so we will head to Red Wing for her special day and the following weekend is my 10 year high school reunion! I have been helping plan this event since last October so we will be attending that as well! We have also been busy watching football and making decisions about our baby girl's nursery.
