Aurelia's 3rd Birthday Party!

There was another birthday party in our neighborhood a few weeks ago and boy was it fun! It was a Fancy Nancy themed tea party! All the girls wore their fanciest dresses, drank "tea" ( chocolate milk) out of fancy mugs on a very cute table with a lovely chandelier!

Oh and they wore fancy hats! and before we got there the girls got their nails done and faces painted if wanted!

Birthday girl is in the pink!

They also made a princess crown. What a bunch of princesses we have in our neighborhood.

GG's 88th Birthday!

GG turned 88 this February! She certainly has done a lot in her life and has a very loving family surrounding her. We all went over to the Estates to celebrate with her a few weekends ago. We left Linnea with my parents after the party so we could have our Valentine's Day date and our first date night in a LONG time. The party was great and involved appetizers, pizza and GG opening her gifts. The kiddoes ran around, did some coloring, ran around, did some puzzles, ate a little and ran some more.

Maple Cookies!

Playing with their Valentine gifts from the grandparents.

Our date night on the other hand did not go as planned. We were hoping to see The Vow, well I think everyone else in the Woodbury and Roseville area had the same idea since both theaters were sold out! We will now always be buying our tickets in advance online or at the box office hours before it starts. So we ended up at home in our jammies on the couch with popcorn, candy and Midnight in Paris. It was a good movie and nice to have a night off of putting Linnea to bed BUT I was really looking forward to actually going out to a movie since most nights I am in my jammies on the couch with a movie or show. But this time Chris was with me instead of in bed so it was still a good night :)

Valentine's Day treats

These are the treats we made for Valentine's Day this year! I brought the heart peanut blossoms to work and Linnea brought the pink rice krispie treats to preschool for their Valentine's Party. I also shared my cookies at GG's bday! In case I don't get our Vday pictures up, we had pink heart shaped pancakes, strawberry milk and strawberries for supper on fancy China from my grandma Henjum and Aunt Julie. We couldn't find the camera so just used our phones but I don't know how to get those pictures on the computer yet. So maybe you will see pics from our Vday night and maybe you won't!

Superbowl

Linnea and I headed over to my parents house to "watch" the Superbowl. I mostly enjoyed the company and eating and Linnea is always up for a trip to grandma and papa's. We had turkey soup, chili, chips and dip, veggies and dip, crackers and cheese and Linnea enjoyed a cupcake!

Torchlight Parade

The Winter Carnival has come and gone and I havent posted about it! I am so sorry I am so behind! Anyways...like I mentioned in a previous post we did go look at the ice sculptures before they melted and we also made it to the Torchlight Parade this year. We usually don't go because we are involved in the City of Lakes Loppet but since there was absolutely no snow we decided not to pay to go on a winter hike (as pretty as it would have been, watching a parade for free sounded better) My parents, Linnea and I met up with Brian and Megan and their kids for the first part of the parade. Bri and fam left early but we stayed for the whole thing and then ate a late dinner at McDonald's. I had some free coupons from LivingSocial so we thought that'd be an easy and cheap route to go. The parade was quite loud but very fun! Linnea even got some candy! We hoped to see some fireworks at the end but got way to cold and didnt know exactly when they would start so we decided to leave. But not without posing with some Charles Schulz statues!

Rice Park at night is so pretty!

Ice Sculptures

We went to see the Winter Carnival Ice Sculptures with Chuck and DeAnna and had a great time even though it was quite cold! There weren't that many since it hd been so warm so that worked out in our favor.

First Dance Class

Linnea has been in dance for 3 weeks now and she loves it! I love it too! It is so cute to see all these 3-4 year olds running around in tutus! Here are some pics from the last few classes. There are 8 sessions and we signed up with some neighborhood friends and then randomly another friend just happened to sign up! good times. Linnea's teacher's name is Sarah, so Linnea of course relates that to grandma Sarah! heehee.

stretch!
run around in a circle! every preschooler's fav thing!

dance dance dance!
A Mike N' Ike treat after each class from the candy machine.

We finally got her tap shoes for this past Saturday's class and she was so excited to run out or the room and ask for her tap shoes. We still need the ballet slippers but her sparkly red shoes are working just fine for now!
