Happy 2nd Birthday Harper Marie!

Bippity Boppity Boo...Harper is TWO!!!

How is it possible she is TWO already! She is a joy to be around and we love her so much. She doesn't have many words but she understands us very well and makes her own sounds to get what she wants. She loves music just like sissy and daddy. She also is a cookie monster...and will eat basically anything we give. Harper prefers to sit on a big girl chair to eat. She loves to play cat and color with her big sister. They also love to play with baby dolls and take them on walks or put them in their cribs with a blanket. She loves walking and doesn't see the need for a cart at the store. We are excited to see what year 2 brings us with this one! She is much busier than Linnea was :)

On Harper's actual birthday she had a little party at daycare with Vanilla Wafers and her buddies. That night we went to Connie's Creamy Cone for her bday dessert : )

 YUMMY!!!

The following Saturday was the big Cinderella Birthday Party at Como Park.

Mommy made a cupcake dress cake :)

We got there early enough to snag about 4 tables near each other and also near the playground.

Linnea helping to make "pumpkins" out of clementines and celery sticks.

Harper and Grandma.

One of the pumpkin centerpieces.

Pumpkin candy and Bippity Boppity Boo Wands.

Gus' grapes, pumpkins and Cinderella's Carriage dip and veggies.  We also had princess shaped sandwiches (Crowns, high heel, castle, star) and Prince Charming's pasta salad and Cinderella's chips.

Papa and the birthday girl!

THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!

A new book was in one of these many wonderful gifts. We played a few games before eating and gifts too. Those pictures must be in Chris' camera. I had each girl find a shoe (glass slipper) that was hidden around our tables and then we did a relay race where each girl got dressed and undressed for a ball with some dress up clothes. So FUN!

After we were done playing we went to the Zoo! Everyone was still in a good mood and it was such a beautiful day. The Zoo was literally across the street too so that made it even easier :)

Cousins on the famous turtle at Como :)

We ended the day with a few pictures out in Hudson taken by our super talented friend/neighbor. These were with my phone...I will get some of her professional ones up here soon!

I think we wore the birthday girl out!

Fall Trip

We went on our annual family fall trip in early September this year. We checked out a new home for rent in Siren. It was a very pretty home with a lake right behind it for fishing and I found a nice running loop in the "neighborhood" to do so I could get most of my training miles in :)

We arrived kind of late Friday night but enjoyed a campfire for a little while before bed anyways.

Bedtime!

The tire swing was definitely a hit and all the grandkids except Harper got a turn in the canoe with papa. She moves around waaaay too much.

Harper was content in the little swingset and basically just wandering around the yard or up and down the dock.

Two of the Meyers girls enjoying the hammock :)

Dylan and Papa catching some fish for lunch.

Linnea did some fishing too but for whatever reason I don't have any pictures with her doing that.

Of course I brought crafts.

We went on a scavenger hunt before grilling up some delicious Von Hansen's meats.

Just hanging out watching the guys get the meat ready. She had her leg crossed the same way papa often stands and the funny thing is, Linnea would copy papa and stand like this at Harpers age too :)

Yummy Dinner! Grilled to perfection!
Happy early 2nd birthday Harper!
We did an early birthday party for Harper since Erik and Lisa and family wouldnt be able to make it to her bday party with the neighborhood and Chris' family.

We did a mini Cinderella theme with the castle and pumpkin centerpiece, blue table cloth, blue and white sprinkled cupcakes and strawberry mice :)

She wore her Cinderella dress and had a great time! She now has some Frozen jammies and an Elsa tutu and wand and fairy wings :)

Jake fishing with grandma

I remember a fountain like this at my great grandparents playground in Worthington. I always like to see them around now. Linnea thought it was a lil scary to drink out of a lions mouth...I dont really blame her :)
We stayed a little longer than Erik and Lisa (they left earlier to have enough time to pick up their new puppy! Pictures of that new family member coming soon) and went into town to play at a park and do a letterbox.

We actually found this box! YAY! Harper prefers to push the stroller and Linnea LOVES riding in it!

We had a very fun trip but of course wish it lasted longer.
Weekend getaways are great but go by so fast!
