Fall Trip

We went on our annual family fall trip in early September this year. We checked out a new home for rent in Siren. It was a very pretty home with a lake right behind it for fishing and I found a nice running loop in the "neighborhood" to do so I could get most of my training miles in :)

We arrived kind of late Friday night but enjoyed a campfire for a little while before bed anyways.

Bedtime!

The tire swing was definitely a hit and all the grandkids except Harper got a turn in the canoe with papa. She moves around waaaay too much.

Harper was content in the little swingset and basically just wandering around the yard or up and down the dock.

Two of the Meyers girls enjoying the hammock :)

Dylan and Papa catching some fish for lunch.

Linnea did some fishing too but for whatever reason I don't have any pictures with her doing that.

Of course I brought crafts.

We went on a scavenger hunt before grilling up some delicious Von Hansen's meats.

Just hanging out watching the guys get the meat ready. She had her leg crossed the same way papa often stands and the funny thing is, Linnea would copy papa and stand like this at Harpers age too :)

Yummy Dinner! Grilled to perfection!
Happy early 2nd birthday Harper!
We did an early birthday party for Harper since Erik and Lisa and family wouldnt be able to make it to her bday party with the neighborhood and Chris' family.

We did a mini Cinderella theme with the castle and pumpkin centerpiece, blue table cloth, blue and white sprinkled cupcakes and strawberry mice :)

She wore her Cinderella dress and had a great time! She now has some Frozen jammies and an Elsa tutu and wand and fairy wings :)

Jake fishing with grandma

I remember a fountain like this at my great grandparents playground in Worthington. I always like to see them around now. Linnea thought it was a lil scary to drink out of a lions mouth...I dont really blame her :)
We stayed a little longer than Erik and Lisa (they left earlier to have enough time to pick up their new puppy! Pictures of that new family member coming soon) and went into town to play at a park and do a letterbox.

We actually found this box! YAY! Harper prefers to push the stroller and Linnea LOVES riding in it!

We had a very fun trip but of course wish it lasted longer.
Weekend getaways are great but go by so fast!
