Today I got to hear the heartbeat and some kicking from our little peanut and meet our doctor!!! I really like Dr. Hansen and she said our baby was extremely active and I am having a healthy pregnancy. Wahoo!! Chris unfortunately had to miss this appt, but he will for sure be at the next ultrasound where we will find out if we are having a boy or girl. That appt is July 27th, 2 days after his 30th bday so that is kind of a nice bday gift!

Here is one pictures of pregnant me....
13 weeks along...I am now 16 weeks but really there is not much of a change yet.
My cousin Tonja is getting married this weekend and I get to be a bridesmaid! I am treating myself to pedicure tomorrow morning before work, the dress rehearsal dinner is Friday night, Sat morning mom and I are getting our hair done and then off to meet Tonja and the rest of the party in Richfield to finish getting ready and then on to Roseville for the pictures and ceremony. Hope for great weather everyone!

Chris will continue to be working on our guest/baby room until wedding time. He is doing a VERY good job! We are trying to finish by Sunday because a friend is coming to visit and we would just like to have our upstairs back to normal.

My first week of teaching art with the kiddoes is going great. There are 40 total...luckily we split them up so I just have 20 at a time, but that is a lot! Thank goodness I have a ninth grader helping me and an AmeriCorp volunteer. The kids keep making gifts for the mommy and daddy to be and even for baby! So cute! Okay time to go to work!

Bathroom Remodel

So I tried to post before and after bathroom pictures last week and it just wasnt working so I gave up and went bed....but have decided to try again with a very cool slideshow of the process that Chris put togethere. So here goes....enjoy the show!

Our next blog will be about the next room we are working on! Used to be the middle room upstairs that was full of woodpaneling. Surprise surprise huh? Our house having wood paneling?? Unbelievable!

Today was my first day of teaching art in the sports/arts program I have done the past 4 years. I always get nervous before the first day of teaching a new session of anything and then it always goes fine. I have some great co teachers with me and the kids were very good today! We played outside pretty much the whole time. First we made ice cream, ate ice cream, played some volleyball type stuff and then played blob tag. For the last hour we had some kids who wanted to, go inside and do some art and others chose to stay outside and play games! It was a successful day!

Chris and I ended up by grilling burgers and working in this upstairs middle room...which will eventually be the baby room...

Have a great day and once again, enjoy our video!

A LOT of new things!

Well, Chris and I thought with all of our big news we should enter the world of blogging! We will try to keep up with it at least once every 1 to 2 weeks so happy checking! I know I LOVE to look at my friends' blogs so we hope you enjoy ours!

First things first I better start with the exciting news that Chris and I have a due date!!! That's right, lil Amy is preggers! I am still anxiously awaiting a cute baby bump! We have successfully made it through the first trimester since tomorrow (Thursday June 12th) we will be 14 weeks along. I have heard that from here until the third trimester is very cool and magical so I am happy about that. However, I dont have much to complain about. My first trimester went very well! I really lucked out and only got sick once! Apparently Baby does not like Dulce De Leche cake. Good thing that is a food we dont usually have on hand. There were random times I felt carsick even though I wasn't in a car and sometimes I would get hit with extreme exhaustion between 2:00 and 4:00 but overrall I don't feel that different. I haven't been running because that first month I was just very uncomfortable doing it so now I walk. I will for sure be running and skiing again after this pregnancy though! Baby and I did get to go on a 30 mile bike ride with dad when we were 3 weeks along! I have discovered the rubberband trick with the pants so I can still wear my prepreggo pants. It is wonderful! But, I am excited to borrow some maternity clothes from some family members. I think they are so cute!

I think that part of the reason the time is going so fast is because I have still been working my three jobs! School ended today though so there goes my full time job! Now, I have a week and a half of a few meetings for the summer art program I teach part time, Caribou and selling Twins Tickets. The Bou and the Twins won't be everyday yet though so I will have some days totally off which will be great! I am so excited for my job next year...I will be 30 hour a week Associate Educator at Andersen Open. YAY!! Finally I can be at one job all day! I plan to do after school activities to reach 40 hours a week as long as my pregnant body can handle it.

Chris and I also lucked out ended up getting a BATHROOM REMODEL this past week! Yep...we decided to apply for a 2009 new DIY show called BATHTASTIC and they chose us!! I dont know why they wouldn't though...we are a pretty fun sort of newlywed couple expecting a baby and living in a major fixer upper! We did have to pay about $2000 but we think it was well worth it. Our amazing new bathroom got finished in a week and it was really fun working with the producer, contractor and camera crew and of course, we will be on tv! WAHOO!!

So along with being pregnant and getting a new bathroom, Amy has hosted 2 baby showers and a bridal shower! Luckily she had some great family members help her plan them out! Chris's sister is having twin girls in a few weeks (cute!) and Erik and Lisa will have our nephew in July(cute!). The bridal shower was for a cousin tying the knot June 28th where I get to be a preggo bridesmaid in it!! I hope its a lovely day just like their showers were!

We avidly watched Idol this past season. It wasn't that great, but it was great to get together and have our little dinner idol parties with friends we otherwise don't see too often.

Chris has been very busy at work. They moved to a new building (still in Edina) so he worked many long hours helping out with that. He is feeling almost 100% since his bout with vertigo this winter. We are SOOOO happy about that!

Quite a few of our friends have been turning 30 so we have attended 2 surprise 30th bdays! They were lots of fun...and Chris will be there in July. However we arent doing a surprise. We will more than likely have a BBQ and Rock Band partay here at our home. So keep July 26th open if you would like to celebrate this old mans bday! teehee...

We are really working on our garden...but I dont know how green of thumbs we have. So far it is looking good and we have very knowledgable people in our families who have been helping out. Some of our strawberries did ripen enough this past week to eat so thats a good sign and yummy! We cant seem to get rid of the crabgrass though...

We are both playing fantasy baseball again and following those Twins who are really, I mean really, due for a win!!! We arent doing as well as last year, but who knows what the rest of the season will bring!

Okay so that in sort of a nutshell has been our last 14 weeks!!! The next blogs hopefully wont be quite as long since we hope to do them every 2 weeks, not 14 weeks. But we will see...I, Amy, am kind of a chatter!!
