A LOT of new things!

Well, Chris and I thought with all of our big news we should enter the world of blogging! We will try to keep up with it at least once every 1 to 2 weeks so happy checking! I know I LOVE to look at my friends' blogs so we hope you enjoy ours!

First things first I better start with the exciting news that Chris and I have a due date!!! That's right, lil Amy is preggers! I am still anxiously awaiting a cute baby bump! We have successfully made it through the first trimester since tomorrow (Thursday June 12th) we will be 14 weeks along. I have heard that from here until the third trimester is very cool and magical so I am happy about that. However, I dont have much to complain about. My first trimester went very well! I really lucked out and only got sick once! Apparently Baby does not like Dulce De Leche cake. Good thing that is a food we dont usually have on hand. There were random times I felt carsick even though I wasn't in a car and sometimes I would get hit with extreme exhaustion between 2:00 and 4:00 but overrall I don't feel that different. I haven't been running because that first month I was just very uncomfortable doing it so now I walk. I will for sure be running and skiing again after this pregnancy though! Baby and I did get to go on a 30 mile bike ride with dad when we were 3 weeks along! I have discovered the rubberband trick with the pants so I can still wear my prepreggo pants. It is wonderful! But, I am excited to borrow some maternity clothes from some family members. I think they are so cute!

I think that part of the reason the time is going so fast is because I have still been working my three jobs! School ended today though so there goes my full time job! Now, I have a week and a half of a few meetings for the summer art program I teach part time, Caribou and selling Twins Tickets. The Bou and the Twins won't be everyday yet though so I will have some days totally off which will be great! I am so excited for my job next year...I will be 30 hour a week Associate Educator at Andersen Open. YAY!! Finally I can be at one job all day! I plan to do after school activities to reach 40 hours a week as long as my pregnant body can handle it.

Chris and I also lucked out ended up getting a BATHROOM REMODEL this past week! Yep...we decided to apply for a 2009 new DIY show called BATHTASTIC and they chose us!! I dont know why they wouldn't though...we are a pretty fun sort of newlywed couple expecting a baby and living in a major fixer upper! We did have to pay about $2000 but we think it was well worth it. Our amazing new bathroom got finished in a week and it was really fun working with the producer, contractor and camera crew and of course, we will be on tv! WAHOO!!

So along with being pregnant and getting a new bathroom, Amy has hosted 2 baby showers and a bridal shower! Luckily she had some great family members help her plan them out! Chris's sister is having twin girls in a few weeks (cute!) and Erik and Lisa will have our nephew in July(cute!). The bridal shower was for a cousin tying the knot June 28th where I get to be a preggo bridesmaid in it!! I hope its a lovely day just like their showers were!

We avidly watched Idol this past season. It wasn't that great, but it was great to get together and have our little dinner idol parties with friends we otherwise don't see too often.

Chris has been very busy at work. They moved to a new building (still in Edina) so he worked many long hours helping out with that. He is feeling almost 100% since his bout with vertigo this winter. We are SOOOO happy about that!

Quite a few of our friends have been turning 30 so we have attended 2 surprise 30th bdays! They were lots of fun...and Chris will be there in July. However we arent doing a surprise. We will more than likely have a BBQ and Rock Band partay here at our home. So keep July 26th open if you would like to celebrate this old mans bday! teehee...

We are really working on our garden...but I dont know how green of thumbs we have. So far it is looking good and we have very knowledgable people in our families who have been helping out. Some of our strawberries did ripen enough this past week to eat so thats a good sign and yummy! We cant seem to get rid of the crabgrass though...

We are both playing fantasy baseball again and following those Twins who are really, I mean really, due for a win!!! We arent doing as well as last year, but who knows what the rest of the season will bring!

Okay so that in sort of a nutshell has been our last 14 weeks!!! The next blogs hopefully wont be quite as long since we hope to do them every 2 weeks, not 14 weeks. But we will see...I, Amy, am kind of a chatter!!
