Tears and Parks

We had one unhappy camper a few nights ago...perhaps it was because she was barefoot...or wearing a helmet and not on a bike...or inside and not outside...nobody knows or will every know. At this point I was not even sure Harper knew what the problem was. She had this face and was crying for at least 5-8 minutes.

We went to the park and she seemed to cheer up :)
We perhaps were not moving quick enough.

the next morning they did not want to get out of bed...sleeping sisters :)

and another blooming springtime picture!

Cinco De Mayo

We brought all that garage sale stuff we worked on over to my parents on Tuesday night which happened to be Cinco De Mayo so we ordered Chipotle for the occasion :)
not exacly authentic but delicious and easy.
And we actually have a giftcard for 4 free burritoes since they messed up our order this evening.

I had a nice family picture of us by our dinner but it seems to have disappeared...I hope to get it on here.

The Wild also had a big playoff game so we wore our Wild attire and watched about half the game before heading home. It got later than we wanted...

We have decided to try and sell our high chair but Harper wanted one last sit in it.

It got a little later than we wanted which maybe lead to this lil one's fever the next morning...

Her fever was 102.7 when she woke up and went up and down all day, hitting 103 at one point. We did lots of Elmo watching, cuddling, coloring but mostly...

SLEEPING...she slept for like 5 hours!
And still slept fine overnight! Daddy stayed home with her the Thursday and she was able to go back to daycare Friday.

I slept with a little and read but I also got to make some yummy bread and muffins for teacher appreciation day and daycare provider day :) So nice to not have to do that late at night and rush.

Spring!

Spring is arriving in Como! I had to stop and take a few pictures on one of my morning runs.
I love spring time and the regrowth of things and the change.

Later in the day it sort of felt like summer as we were watching the May Day Parade! I have wanted to go for a while but we have had plans or the weather hasnt cooperated the past few years. and we almost didn't go this year but the weather was just too perfect to sit inside and clean and garage sale prep the whole day. So we went to Mpls for a few hours before being productive at home.

We weren't super close to the parade but we actually could see it okay from the hill we were on by someones house. This is a terrible picture but its of some people dressed as butterflies...there were a lot of fun springy costumes and floats :)

We parked by Corcoran Park which is just a few blocks from where I grew up so it was fun to show the girls where I played, swam in the wading pool and played 4-pitch :) We went home and spend the afternoon and evening getting ready for the garage sale at my parents house and cleaning.

Gale Woods Farm and a Baby Shower

We had a fun family Saturday morning at a new place a couple weeks ago. I really wanted to see and who the girls baby animals but didnt want to pay so much to see them at the MN Zoo so I did some research and found Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista.

I thought it was worth the almost hour drive.
We saw chicks, lambs, and piglets and got to pet all of them!

And walk with the lambs and hope we didnt get peed on!

soooo cute!!

They also have an amazing greenhouse and garden. It would be kind of fun to go back and see the plants all  growing even bigger. They had radishes out to try and chives in the garden, both of which Linnea liked. I never knew!

What a nice pasture!

A huge sheep dog!

Harper decided it was time go!

She needed to take more pictures ;)

We actually did need to leave because we had a baby shower to get to! My dear, sweet childhood friend Star is having a baby!

Her mom found a bunch of her old clothes and hung them on the line. How fun to see the PippiLongStocking sweater! I think I remember Star wearing that :)

three lil girls looking at a cat hiding under the table.

My mom assembled this diaper cake as our gift and their centerpiece :)

Star is going to make a great mommy!
I am so excited for my friend and for my girls to meet her lil girl :)
Lots of fun ahead!

Isn't she a beautiful mommy to be??!!

Fun Little Things :)

When looking thru pics to use in the blog I came across about 8 pictures just like this one.
Harper is clearly a budding photographer ;)

Happy MAY DAY! The girls and I had fun assembling these May Day baskets for our neighbors. Each were a little different in regards to colors of flowers, pipe cleaners and "vase." Harper and I drove around dropped them off after Linnea got on the bus for school and before I needed to get Harps to daycare. It was a little rushed but we got it done :)

I picked up the summer library reading fun programs! Cant wait!

We had a fun family night at Linnea's school carnival. Lots of lil games were played and trinkets were won. And this stuffed bear that Linnea is holding.

We enjoyed watching the WILD...however as soon all of us started wearing our gear they didnt do so well :( But we cheered them on anyways...yay MN Hockey!

Birthdays and Dates!

We have had fun celebrating a variety of events since our little trip to Stevents Point.
Earth Day happened...this is actually last years craft but I liked it so much I thought I'd add it here anyways. I worked the evening of Earth Day so Chris had the girls and they did some Earth coloring pages and watched a nature show :) They wanted to do a litter pick up but I believe it was windy and rainy so an animal show it was!

The weekend following Earth Day we went to two birthdays and squeezed our April date in :)

The first birthday was for Emma! She and Linnea went to preschool together and I went to high school with her dad. They had a tap/ballet theme and we got to see some of Emma's dances and our girls joined in as well. It was a fun time! Erin (Em's mom and my friend) also made some delicious Chinese food for the event!

We went to see an afternoon showing of WILD at our fav theater and we LOVED it! Even Chris was surprised at how much he liked it. I had read the book and knew it would make a good movie as I was reading it.  It came out in DEC and Im bummed it took us so long to see it but so happy we did see it on the big screen. The scenery is AMAZING on the Pacific Crest Trail which is what Cheryl Strayed hiked throughout the movie. Reese Witherspoon did a phenomenal job playing the part. No wonder she was up for best actress!

The following day we celebrated my parents birthdays. It was so nice to see their siblings and their kids and their kids come to celebrate. We could not have asked for a better day for a cookout bday party.

We of course walked and/or ride something down to the park. Harper loves Uncle Dwight and her helmet ;)

I made peanut buster bar ice cream dessert for the event.

 Full of love.

They got some nice gifts and gift cards...they can have dates at fleet farm and perkins since they got two to each place!
 More park pictures :)

We love you so much grandma and papa/Keith and Barb! Hope you enjoyed your special day. You deserve it.
