Productive Weekend :)

The weekend after FunFest we actually didnt have that many plans so we were able to be somewhat productive at home! Harper napped both days for us for like 2 hours in the crib so that made it even easier to get stuff done!

I had a gift card to a new flower shop so I brought the girls with me to pick some out and I finally got to put them in pots:)

Hopefully I can keep them alive and this bright throughout summer :)

While I worked on the flowers Linnea was daddy's helper to deep clean the cars. They were pretty disgusting!

After our busy day we decided we deserved a walk to the ice cream shop :)

Sunday was Linnea's last day of Sunday School so we got her dressed up and they had a cute little program. Later on that day after doing I'm not sure what ( I think I likely grocery shopped) we strolled to the park while daddy grilled up some yummy burgers and our first corn on the cob!

Our two pretty girls.

 YUMMY! Tastes like summer!
Now this girls has discovered her love for ice cream cones.

Funfest!!

Friday was my school's carnival...Funfest! And fun it was! My parents got to come this year and so did Chris. Chris was very sick last year so he missed out but not this time! It was night of eating, petting animals, riding a horse and playing carnival games for prizes. Oh and riding the Vulcan Fire Truck! It was nice to show my parents where I work and introduce them to some of my students and my teacher. I think it is great for Linnea to see too...she more than once has said she wants to help people like mommy does :) Linnea has a special and good heart.

swinging after storytime earlier in the day before funfest...yes L is wearing her helmet. She biked there after the library and likes to keep it on for safety every now and then. (always)

so happy this girl likes swinging now...there was a time she screamed in fear!

looking at the cow and brushing the horse :)

getting ready to ride the horse!

so brave to go on a big horse! Papa got to walk with this year. She did this when she was about 3.5 as well and Chris and I walked with her then:)

More games and prizes and spin art!
There was a cake walk as well and we Linnea won donut holes :)

it took a bit of explaining but she did eventually hold the stick the right way and made a goal!

One last look at her clown face painting before bed.
What a great night!
I will post picture from firetruck ride and of Harper with the animals soon.
They are on Chris' phone :)

Mother's Day 2014

December 21, 2008 I became a mom of one. September 18, 2012 I became of two. Those were two of the happiest and hardest days of my life. My two caring, loving, sweet, beautiful and silly daughters are my world. They make me so proud and full of joy everyday. I would do anything for them. It is nice to have a day to celebrate Mothers of all forms.

Mommy and Linnea to the left and Mommy and Harper above:)

 Mama and her girls.

I am also so happy to have such an amazing mother of my own. She has always put her kids happiness and well being before her own and set such a good example for us. I hope I can be as a great of a mom as her. She has created so many wonderful memories for me.

I am also so blessed to have such a fanastic Mother in Law. The girls have the best grandmas and gg's!

And I was so lucky to have 2 grandmas and 1 great grandma at one point!
Grandmas hold such a special place in my heart. It was hard to have another grandma missing this year but we burned her candle and thought of her throughout the day.

We did get to see Grandma Bremer (Chris' Gma) at Sarah's garage sale so that was good. We haven't seen her or grandpa much lately. We miss them and are so lucky they are still with us. I couldn't find one of her with Harper (I know I have one but its way too late to keep looking) but her she is with Linnea I think around Harper's age now...about 20 months

So onto the Mother's Day...

Chris, Harper and I went out for coffee/breakfast while Linnea went to Sunday School to practice for her little end of year performance this Sunday.

Then we picked up L and went for walk/hike at the Oakdale Rec Center/Naure Reserve. What a lovely place to walk! We even found a park along the way. We were sort of looking for letterboxes but did not have luck. I didn't get crabby about this time :)

After the hike we ate lunch at Arby's and then headed back to my parents for visiting, gifts to mom and supper. Erik, Lisa and their boys came over as well.

We ended the day with Ice Cream Cake from DQ. Yummy!

I really loved spending time with the family and that would have been enough but Chris is so sweet that he also gave me a gift card to Marshall's and flowers. Linnea made a very cute picture at preschool too:
