And yet another Twins Game!

We brought Linnea to another Twins Game, however this was a night one so as you can see she is zonked out! This baby will have gone to at least 4 games by the time she is 1! We went this time not only because we love the Twins, but also because Alison was here from Colorado to do an article on the laying of the sod in the new stadium. She wanted to go to one last game in the MetroDome and we thought we may as well go with her! I had to work at the game so my parents brought Linnea and I met them inside around the 4th inning. She was out by the 7th! But lasted a long time to play with us and grin at the cute old couple behind us!
Here are the guys at the game! Our two dads and Tony, another guy here to help with the sod.

Linnea loved Al!

And loves to sleep on my lap.

Only 19 indoor games of baseball left!

Happy 3 year Anniversary!

Well I have been a Meyers for 3 years! The time has flown by and we have had so much fun since that special day at Afton Apple Orchard! We have gone on many trips, bought a house and had a baby! We love our life together!

For our first anniversary we on a Northern Wisconsin Adventure, last year we went to Kansas City for a Twins vs. Royals game and to Zoo for an early celebration. At home in the cities we enjoyed some frisbee golf, Grand Ole Creamery Ice Cream and Dixies for dinner.

And this year we spent it at home with a home cooked meal of BLT's, roasted sweet corn and green beans from our garden.

And of course we shared it with our favorite little girl!

My first tea party!

My friend Rachael invited me to my first tea party!!! It was sooooo fun!! I drank out of my own cute mug and sat in this cute little chair...just my size!!

And I tried some dehydrated fruit too!! Yum!

I had fun with Rach...she is soooo nice!

Here we are with our mommies...they enjoyed the tea too!

And Rachael's little brother Daniel woke up and hung out with us for a while too. He will be one this Friday! I get to go to his bday party when he feels better and they have more time in September.

I really like tea parties and cant wait for the next one! Thanks for having us over and for letting me play with your toys too Carsons!
Mommy, maybe we can have the next party at our house!?

Amy and Linnea's walking adventures and other ramblings!

Linnea and I took some very fun walks in the last week. This top one if of her sitting and looking at the Mississippi River from a very nice path by downtown St. Paul and the Science Museum.
Here we are at a plaza near the the Apts along the River and she is extremely interested in some skateboarders zipping by and doing tricks.
Who knew there were cool fountains along this path behind the Science Museum?
And a place to walk in the water...Linnea didn't know what to think of that.
Ahhh...what a nice view of the bridges, the river and downtown. I like St. Paul!

Last week we also walked along Grand and Summit. While on Grand near Snelling we came across Macalester which I had never walked around before. So we explored there and decided it was a very nice campus!

And of course we had to lay down and play for a little while!

And ponder where she will go to college...

I also found another used bookstore along Grand. I can't say I like it more than Half Price Books but it was a great store and had two Shopaholic Books that I can never find at the library so I decided to buy them. I have surprisingly been able to read more since Linnea came along and we cut cable. In fact I joined a book club with some college friends and went to our first meeting with Linnea on Friday night. I could be in another one too but the dates haven't worked out for me yet. And since I have just been working at the Dome selling Twins tickets when they are home and 2 shifts at Caribou I have some extra time to read.
Speaking of work, I don't know if I wrote back in the spring that my aide position was cut for this year, so I have been keeping my eyes open all summer for a different position but still don't have a job for the school year and I can't get over how weird it feels. I have been working in a school in one way or another for the past 6 years of my life! I love being home and being a mommy with Linnea but do miss working at the same time. I have applied for a few after school coordinators so keep your fingers crossed that one of those works out! It would be pretty good hours and pay...so many of the school jobs out there don't have both good hours and good pay. We have to be picky about which job I take because it has to pay enough that we have some income after daycare costs...oh these are the decisions that aren't so fun about growing up and being parents.

But we are doing good overall and can't complain too much about our situation...I do have the Twins and Caribou still employing me. And Chris has his job which is great but he has been very busy with it lately. He is such a good employee and daddy and think he deserves to have tomorrow night off. My parents will take Linnea to her 3rd Twins game and I will meet them inside with some of our other friends as well!

Standing!

I CAN STAND WITH HELP FROM A TABLE!!!!

AND BOY AM I EXCITED ABOUT IT AND SO PROUD OF MYSELF!

All babies are different and most crawl before standing or walking but our lil peanut has discovered she can stand and kind shuffle around and turn while holding onto something...a table, us, the couch.

We are pretty certain she will crawl....

but for now she stands very happily! And the sitting has gotten very good too!

8 Months Old!

Hi, it's me Linnea here. I am 8 months old now!!!! Here are some pictures of me with this Eric Carle elephant that mom insists on taking every month...she says it will end when I turn 1, so you all get 4 more months of this! I like to pet the elephant now!
But take some time to smile with her and lay with her! As you saw in the previous blogs, my new trick at 8 months is STANDING!!!! It's so fun!

Uncle Brad's Visit

My Uncle Brad was able to come visit back in July and I guess I never blogged about it until now! Sorry! We had a very fun visit and Linnea really liked meeting her great uncle...she even let him hold her as you can see above.
We spent part of an afternoon at Hyland Park Reserve (aka. Chutes and Ladders) so my dad and Brad could reminisce about their childhood and so I could visit the kids I worked with last year. It was so fun to see them and have them meet Linnea! I was pregnant while working with these two last year so they got kick out seeing who had been making my tummy grow last summer!
Daddy was even able meet us there after work since it is just minutes away! They enjoyed a trip down the slide together!
We were able to visit with grandma too the first night he was here and had a KFC picnic outside at her place.
Thanks for visiting Uncle Brad! It was great to see you! Hopefully we can make it out to Utah and visit you and Sophie and the animals!

Swimming and Playing

Linnea is getting pretty good at sitting on her own...daddy is even giving her the thumbs up!
It has been so hot...we decided clothes were not necessary!
She thought that was a pretty good idea!
And since it has been so hot, we have enjoyed going to a friends house to swim!

On this particular day we were in the pool with some of the mommies and their babies from our new parent class. We try to get together the second Saturday of every month or random hot Fridays! I don't know where I would be without this special group! It's fun to see our babies grow and learn from each other!

Pierce County Fair

There are two good looking guys with some very cute kids...a great daddy and grandpa! This was before walking into the Pierce County Fair. I love how the cousins are reaching for each other!
Here is Linnea enjoying her time with the animals again. This time she really got a kick out of the goats! This one kept licking her foot and she would just giggle with delight. Chris sadly didn't get to come to the fair with us again. He has been battling a cold and I had to work almost every night last week so he was very worn out. After a trip to AZ and then going right to his FT job and coming home to take care of Linnea really can wear a person out. So he took Saturday to try to get better while I was off with the babe to the Fair with mom, dad, Erik and Dylan. Lisa sadly couldn't go either, because she also needed to rest. Hopefully they can make it to the State Fair!
Here are the adorable kiddoes!

We all had a great time!

Linnea's 2nd Twins Game

A year ago I helped my friend Melissa move to Florida, but she has been able to make her way back to MN to visit a few times and we are always lucky enough to be able to do at least one thing together! This time it was a Twins Game! Unfortunately they lost but we had lots of fun.
Now Linnea has been to 2 Twins Game in her life! She will make it to at least one more this season too since grandpa has tickets to the last Twins Game of the season which is also the last game in the MetroDome. YAY for outdoor baseball next year! I know the weather wont always cooperate, but on the days it does it will be so fun!
Linnea spent a good chunk of the game with grandma. She started out awake but eventually passed out.
But not without biting my cell phone for a lil while!
She woke up for a picture with mommy!
