Flint Hills Music Festival 2014

We had a very fun family outing to Flint Hills Children's Festival last Saturday!

It is a great mostly free festival in Rice Park in Downtown St. Paul. We actually got there right at 10 and found street parking and enjoyed the morning through lunch before it started raining.

We watched this crazy bike acrobatic thing

 saw some beautiful flowers

Watched lots of dancing from different cultures...Linnea was so cute trying to dance along with them and swinging her dress just like the dancers.

Harper naturally found a chair to climb.

Linnea loved these inflatable things above.

And both girls loved this storytime house with walls of chalk board they could color on inside :)

Linnea got some henna done and a special kind of painted fish :)
We also did a few crafts, played at the Childrens Museum booth and put our names in some drawings to win tickets to some shows.

We ate food from food truck which is fun but the lines were so terribly long :( and then it started raining so we headed home where I proceeded to garden while the rest slept.
I sure hope the garden works this year...we moved some things around in hopes that will help.
We are trying lettuce for something new along with the usual broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, peas, zucchini, beans and a variety of flowers :)
