Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween from the Meyers Girls! This was us the morning of Halloween before heading out the door to preschool and work. Susana got a cute picture...I just should have had the tv off! Oh well :)

We ate mummy hot dogs for a quick supper before getting into our costumes.

All ready to go as the Tangled family:

Rapunzel, Mother Gothel and of course Baby "Tangled". We tried to convince Linnea to have Harper go as Pascal, Rapunzel's chameleon but she insisted "no Harper is a baby she should be baby Tangled, aka, Rapunzel. SO I dressed her in purple and white and braided some yellow tulle with flowers in it and connected it to a hat. It's hard to see from this picture...I will see if I can find a better one. And below you have Flynn Ryder in all his glory, satchel. hair and all :)

We had a great night in our neighborhood and seeing our friends :) We didn't quite trick or treat with them since Linnea goes her own pace, but we did see them a few times so it worked out.

Posing with the jack-o-lanterns post trick or treating :)

Carving Time!

We of course had to have pumpkin pancakes at some point Halloween week and they were delicious. Especially when we used Halloween cookie cutters to make cats, pumpkins, bats and ghosts :) I also drew a jack o lantern face on Linnea's clementine :) sorry for the blurry pic...

After our festive supper it was time to carve!

Here are our masterpieces...A Minion (mine), Starks of Winterfell sigil (from Game of Thrones curtesy of Chris), a cute face (Harper's) and a silly face with two diff shaped eyes drawn by Linnea (Linnea's) :

It was a fun night with these two!

Dentist!

We finally got Linnea in for her first dentist appointment and she did surprisingly well! I was totally expecting the worst especially after the flu mist dr's appointment but Linnea was a brave girl this time! She watched my whole appointment first and then when it was her turn she hopped right up and opened wide :)

No cavities this time but there the beginnings for both of us. We will just keep brushing!!

Isabella's bday, mommy and /harper day

Last Sunday (well two Sundays ago now) Linnea got to go to one of her preschool friends birthday parties after church. She had a wonderful time and I know this because I stayed. She went back and forth with wanting me to go or stay...she obviously knew the bday girl and there were two more kids from school there that she knew but, she had never been to Isabella's house and didn't know the parents or anyone else there and there were quite a few adults/people there so I think she got a lil nervous. I also didn't know anyone so felt a little weird but I managed. After leaving we got family pictures taken again which turned out great...more pics to come...these are the only two we have seen :)

Monday was a special and rare occasion..I had just Harper! I didn't have to work but Linnea still had preschool and it was her Noah's Ark day which she didn't want to miss! She got to go as an animal and she chose a bee since we had that costume from last year plus Isabella was also going as a bee and the animals did go two by two onto the ark :) Anyways...Harper and I had a great day...

We went to Baby storytime where we heard a few cute Halloween stories and then played:

shopping at goodwill for a costume for daddy/Flynn Rider...

and we squeezed a run in too :)

That night was costume storytime at the library so we headed back there as a kitty and skeleton:

Costume Run and Halloween Party Fun

The weekend after my marathon Linnea got to do another race...this time however, she was in costume, it was outside and much farther (1/3 of a mile) than the lil one at the marathon expo :) I have always wanted to partake in the Great Pumpkin Chase at Lake Elmo so we finally did and it was awesome. I hope to run the 10k of it next year :) But this year it was all for Linnea and two of her friends. It was quite a chilly morning so she wore her "Pillow" costume...Pillow is a character in one of her fav shows/book series Lalaloopsy.

dancing before the race!

Linnea's biggest fan!

proud finisher!
At the end she received a medal, a caramel apple and even a pumpkin! It was a great morning followed by a great afternoon in a different costume at our friends Halloween Party...

We decorated cupcakes.

made a 5 Little Pumpkins craft.

And played pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern and Bingo.

I lead the craft (surprise, surprise I know) and Gail did everything else. What a fun little idea! We love our neighbors! When we were done the big kids played upstairs, Harper practice climbing up the stairs while mom followed behind over and over and over again since she has no clue how to go down the steps. Then we headed home for a great evening relaxing with a new movie.

BRAVE time!

We found Brave to check out at the library and we really liked it! I was worried it may be scary but it was just fine. I may have liked it more than Linnea but that's okay :)

Halloween Crafts and a Concert

We made a few new Halloween crafts before the big day:

Chris had a guys night a few Thursdays ago while us gals headed to a nice lil Will Hale family concert at Central Park in Woodbury. We saw Will Hale this summer and loved him so I knew we didn't want to miss this even though it was a Thursday night and we were pretty tired from our work/preschool week. So nice to have Fridays off :) Linnea liked him as much as this summer and even went down to the dance floor. Harper grooved in her stroller while eating.

We treated ourselves to some ice cream after the show. Central Park sells it right there so its hard to pass up :)

oh we also got his sweet picture from school...she did good for her school picture :)

she looks a lot like me in kindergarten :)

Friday Fun Day

Well as usual I am behind...

Last Friday we had a very fun/busy day! We made it to our usual storytime/puppet show and ballet, but then since it was such a lovely day and no one was napping I decided we would head to Como Zoo after lunch. We decided we would skip paying for zoo boo again this year but I knew Como had fun free decorations up that the girls would like to see anyways so off we went for an afternoon at the zoo. Linnea enjoyed posing for many pictures and we LOVED watching the polar bear swim his route and seeing what the gorillas were up to in their new forest!

its not a trip to Como without sitting on the tortoise.

That evening Linnea and I headed to Fall Festival at our friends school (where Linnea may go next year for Kindergarten!) We left Harper at home with daddy since she was a bit crabby...perhaps she needed more of a nap than being at the zoo allowed ;)

We had a great time at the festival dressed as a bee for part of it before it got too hot, doing some crafts, getting a tiger on L's cheek and dancing :)
