Summary of Summer Fun...

Warning...plenty of pictures with captions ahead! This is a mish mosh blog about random super fun things we have been up to this summer so far. I CANNOT believe it is mid July already! How depressing that I go back to work in a month and a half. Boo...anyways...as you will see from the pics and blogs to come we have been keeping ourselves very busy...hence the lack of blogging!

Linnea earned her first free book with the St.Paul Public Library Reading Program. For every hour she reads or gets read to she colors in a circle on the "reading chart paper" we have and when she has read 10 hours she gets a book! It's awesome and she gets so excited about it too which I love to see!

I took the girls to Aladdin at the Stages Theater in Hopkins. We have seen a few other plays there so I knew it was super kid friendly and that Id be fine with Harper. We also we were with friends so if I needed to step out someone could stay with Linnea. Harper ended up nursing and sleeping through the whole thing :) Linnea said she just sort of liked it. I think I should have read her the story or watched the movie with her first so she could follow it better. She was also super tired from our camping trip. I loved it though! We treated ourselves to ice cream at the Hopkins Art Fair that was going on just outside of the theater too. I also found a pair of earrings and an infinity scarf for myself too :)

We finally got the car cart grocery shopping! This makes it so much easier to shop with both of them. This was Harpers first time out of her carseat in the cart. She loved it and loved looking around! I was so relieved to finally get this cart because we had to do a big trip since like you saw in the previous post we had to toss most of our food after our trip.

Beach time with an ice cream treat afterwards!

We went to see our first outdoor movie of summer at the Roseville Oval! They were playing Over the Hedge and we met some of our neighbors there. You can the puddles in the background...we weren't sure if the show would go on since it was really downpouring but it stopped just in time :)

Fun at the Roseville Library above! She also gets reading prizes here! This one is for everyday she reads she colors in an animal...one she gets 14 colored she gets a book, playdough or a shaky egg. So basically every two weeks she could get something :)

Backyard Fun above!

Parade fun above and swimming in our neighbors pool fun below along with hangin in a chair contemplating life :)

We have been going to at least 2 fun library events a week. As you can see on the lower left Linnea found the juggler HILARIOUS. She also enjoyed Paul Spring's music and so did mommy and daddy.

The Linneas after dance/tumbling class. Sabina from our neighborhood is also in this class and they just LOVE it! There are always hugs, screams and giggles when they unite!

We are clearly wearing Harpster out. However this napping in our bed or her crib is kind of a two to three times a week occurrence. She is not a regular napper :(

She certainly loves her GG though. We visited GG when my aunt and uncle from CO were here around the 4th of July. Owen and Kathy hadn't met Harper yet so I'm really glad we made it out to Woodbury to chat and catch up.

More Beach fun...Linnea came out of her room in this tankini top skirt and rain boots and exclaimed she was Ready to Rock!

Sno Cones with Daddy at White Bear Lake Market Fest where we met one of my high school friends along with her hubby and 2 year old. They live in WBL and we don't see them nearly enough. We are trying really hard to make time to visit with friends this summer since it will be much more challenging once I start working again.
