There once was an amazing little Italian Restaurant about 10 minutes from our house by the State Fairgrounds. The name was Bascali's. Bascali's was the restaurant Chris took me to for my birthday within the the first couple of weeks we were dating.
We liked it so much we had them cater our wedding. The pasta, calzones, sandwiches, pizza, everything was sooooo yummy! After 15 years of being opened they closed their doors June 30th. So naturally we had to go for one last meal there.
We tried to make a point to go a few times a year but now that they will no longer be there we of course wish we would have gone more often. We tried to go around my bday, around our anniversary and we created a tradition of either getting a huge pan of spaghetti the night before the City of Lakes Loppet race or eating there for our pasta feed the night before. It was nice to talk with the catering coordinator/chef one more time before it closed. You will be missed Bascali's and good luck to all the employees!
