Waterama!

We made our summer trip to the Wallins this year just in time for Waterama...their city celebration!
We had a blast...

Tinkerbell wanted to join the fun :)
We got there around 8 or so on Friday night and two of their three kiddoes were in bed so we just chatted a little, had some ice cream and then hit the hay because Lori and I had a sort of early 10k in the morning:

It was a super fun run right along the lake and I got my fastest time ever for a 10k...53:20 :)
I was happy for myself and happy for speedy Lori who got third in our age group :)

The kids and dads made it out to see us finish and then enjoyed playing at the park after the race.

After. We kind look the same ;)
We went back to their house for some lunch and got the babies down for naps and then Lori and I took the three older girls to a kiddie parade...

It was very fun to see the different "themes" families or friends or companies came up with. One was even Frozen :)

Afterwards we went back to the festival area and the let the girls ride in these fun cars and watched the coronation :) The girls got a kick out of coronation day as it reminded them of Frozen :)

Harper actually won some mega blocks in the free kids raffle so its a good thing we stuck around even though we got pretty hot. Since we were so hot we headed to the beach next :) The dads met us there with the babies. We got to see some of the sand castles in the sand castle competition which was pretty cool. The usual beach had lake itch so we drove to one across the lake and had a blast.

Ill have to get beach pics from Chris.

There was a slide which Linnea loved and Harper wanted to love it but really just loved climbing up the ladder. Once we were all swimmed out we headed back to the house for baths,  tacos, playing on their swingset, a bonfire, more ice cream, and some races around the house before bed.

I hope Chris has a few pics from the fire...I had taken some good ones but they didnt save :(

These two got some bonding time in after the big girls went to bed. Gabby just turned one in June :)
Linnea and Sophia actually slept in Sophia's room/bed which was very sweet.
Lori, Carl and I watched the fireworks from their deck while Chris laid by Harper to get her to sleep.

Harper also bonded with their dog Beck when she was the only child still up.
Sunday we played inside until it was time to go to the big parade.

The Wallins were actually in it so we watched part of it alone and then they came to us once their float (the traveling treehouse) was done.

sorry ill have to get the parade pictures from chris!

From the looks of these two...I'd say it was a great weekend! They slept just about two of three hours it takes to get home :)
