Lake Josephine and a Puppet Show!

Last Thursday I packed a picnic lunch, swim gear and the jogger and was all ready to head to Lake Nokomis with Linnea to swim and run in a new spot and check one more thing off our summer to do list. Well...not being able to find your keys put a stop to this plan and we ended up running around good old Como Lake and playing at the Choo Choo Park again. While on the run we stopped and did a bit of a nature walk to switch it up a bit. Linnea saw some turtles, flowers, ducks, ducklings and butterflies! Fun fun! We got home had leftovers for lunch, probably had a popsicle and played a bit before nap. I promised Linnea we would swim and have a picnic supper when she woke up. Chris came home and felt awful so Linnea and I headed out on our own to swim at Lake Josephine and have a our picnic. There just so happened to be a playground up from the beach so we played there for a little bit before heading to our next activity. Our friend daycare was hosting an Open Eye Puppet show so we headed over there. Linnea watched some of the show but mostly played with the many outdoor toys and playhouse this daycare had.We had a cookie and lemonade at the end of the show and then went home for stories and bed! It got a little late but Linnea could sleep in Friday morning so no big deal! What a fun day even though it started out pretty crappy with not being able to find my keys. ( I finally found them Friday or Saturday..hiding in the couch slipcover which I swear I looked in at least 5 times! Oh well!)
